The app used to have everything now they’ve added a paywall. So instead of seeing your child’s vitals for FREE (After paying for the expensive sock) you now have to pay for a subscription. Totally not worth it.
Good if you can get it to work.

Not compatible with newer wifi. Would not work with my wifi router even when the 5GHz band is disabled. I'm not sure if it just doesn't work with Wireles isolation or if it is incompatable with WPA 3. Either way, I'm not willing to compromise the security of my network. For the price of the dream sock, I expect it to work with wifi 6 and 802.11ax wifi networks.

I loveee this product! A newborn must have for sure. I’m a first time mom who has been able to sleep very soundly knowing I don’t need to jump up at every little noise he makes in the night. If I could give 6 stars, I would!!
The device does not connect to the app.

Please do not waste your money on this. The device does not connect to the app - instead it tells me that my device is not Dream Sock and prompt me to buy Dream Sock. You can see the trend in recent reviews - they are really bad. Their recent updates on the app made it so buggy and they do not seem to do anything to fix it.

I can’t express how frustrating it was to try connecting the Owlet Sock. The process was impossible because of something as technical as needing a 2.4 GHz WiFi instead of 5 GHz. This is absurd for a device that should be user-friendly, especially considering its target audience: parents who want peace of mind, not a tech nightmare. For the price, I expected a seamless user experience. Instead, I was met with ridiculous technical requirements that aren’t clearly mentioned when purchasing. If you don’t have advanced tech knowledge or the “right” WiFi setup, this product simply won’t work. In my opinion, this is a scam. A company charging this much for a product should ensure it works without such complications. I absolutely do not recommend it.

I bought this two months ago and I have to say it has changed everything for me I can sleep well without overthinking about my baby! We have had a previous loss with our first daughter in 2021 due to a heart condition and have not been the same since.. we welcomed our rainbow baby in October and the owlet sock has gave us a peace of mind like no other! I know a lot of people complain about false alarms but we also experience false alarms while in the NICU with our first! The bass station changed different colors when it goes off. Purple for them needing help to go to sleep - yellow for it having trouble reading due to baby moving too much or you rocking baby and- RED which is the most important one! I definitely recommend the owlet sock to those who can afford it!

If the base stays connected to the wifi, this is amazing. The live readings are very reassuring. However, on several occasions, the base disconnects from the wifi, and won't reconnect automatically which is super unhelpful at 4am during a feeding. The set up is cumbersome, and 100% wakes up my baby. This has potential to be great, it just isn't right now.

They do work and it does give peace of mind, but they don’t seem to have a very long life span. Unfortunately I’m about to order my 3rd in 4 years

Have bought 3 different ones in the last 2 days and can’t even get past the set up. Every one says “sock is disconnected from base station” no matter what you do it will not connect. We’ve even tried calling and walking through it with them on the phone. I do not recommend.

Battery died weeks after warranty ended. Seems to be a common issue online. Customer service will tell you to buy a new one. It kind of works while the battery does work but being borken after 1 year earns 1 star.

I went back and forth on the Owlet for months during my pregnancy (first time), eventually settling on not needing one. I received one as a gift when my baby was just over 5 months old, and I thought it was incredible timing because we are still dealing with the 4-month sleep regression and the Owlet was marketed as a sleep tracker and coaching tool to help us all get more sleep. But guess what -- guess what!!! After a few days of gathering data and waiting for any helpful information to show up, the app changed and an "Insights" tab appeared, where it tells you to buy a subscription! My activity watch tracks my sleep and provides me historical trends and most importantly DAILY TOTALS of light/deep/REM sleep, it cost a fraction of the price up front, and it has no subscription fee. It's just ridiculous that this device costs $300, does not provide totals for the day or even for each session, and they have the nerve to charge for a subscription if you want any more information. Don't waste your money on this, even (or especially??) if you have some genuine reason to be insecure about your baby's health - if that's the case then maybe you should have an actual medical monitor instead of a grossly overpriced pulse oximeter with a useless app.

We used this product for our first born and it was great to give of peace of mind. We liked it so much we purchased a second for our next child. However, after about a year and a half the battery was not lasting the night and now as we approach its second year it mow alarms due to connectivity issues multiple times a night. It has become nearly unusable. We reached out to owlet customer care and they explained it was outside of the 1 year warranty, which us fine, but we recently purchased the extension pack which was also expensive and they are saying we need to purchase a whole new sensor unit. For a product that I have recommended to friends and family and have bought as a gift for multiple expecting parents, I was really disappointed in their response, warranties aside, just feels like a product at this cost should last more than 2 years.

We purchased the Owlet sock three years ago for our first child, and it was absolutely brilliant. Not only did it provide us peace of mind, but it also helped us identify an underlying issue we might have otherwise missed. We had noticed a consistently high resting heart rate in our baby, so we mentioned it to the pediatrician. Thanks to the data from the Owlet sock, the pediatrician ordered a blood test, which revealed that our child was anemic. After starting iron supplements, the issue was resolved. We are incredibly grateful that the Owlet helped us catch this early and take action. Fast forward to today, and we now have a second child. We were forced to convert our Owlet Sock 3 to the new Owlet Dream Sock, as it seemed that the older model was being phased out. However, since making the switch, we've encountered nothing but problems. The Dream Sock fails to provide historical data, and live readings are often inaccurate. The sock frequently un-pairs from our child’s profile, and the battery life has dropped significantly—from lasting 12 hours to barely 8. All of these issues began immediately after the conversion to the Dream Sock. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially since I used to recommend Owlet to every new parent I knew. I always touted it as an essential tool for newborns and infants. While customer service has been responsive, their tech support hasn’t been able to resolve the issues, and we now find ourselves with a $300 sock that is nearly useless. At this point, we’re left feeling frustrated and let down by what was once a trusted product. I sincerely hope Owlet can address these issues and restore the quality and reliability they once had.

I loved the owlet for a while ! It gave me a peace of mind, but as time passes owlet started to lowkey suck. The device is not even old , It disconnects so much, it's very frustrating for a device to be so expensive for it not even to work properly. It's a shame , I loved it for a while. Thinking about switching to the Sense U sock

This is my third baby, all of which hated their bassinet as they are not comfortable compared to my purple bed. For years I slept horribly as I would wake up nervous and check on my baby who was cosleeping with me, worried they'd stop breathing, sometimes causing them to wake up 😮💨 now that I have tried the owlet with my third baby, I always recommend them to others. I sleep so much better knowing that if her oxygen levels change I will wake up from the alert sound on the base and be able to check on her, and I am so glad I purchased the owlet and finally get the rest I need postpartum.
