Paul Mitchell Twirl Around Hair Gel - 5.1 fl oz

I really wanted this product to work as the reviews are good but sadly I have to say that this is the worst curly hair product I have tried. It is clumpy and looks like curdled cream which is a turnoff and it does nothing for my curls.

This is the only cream that has ever worked in my wavy/frizzy hair. It will work every time. Either the weather is humid or dry. Made me ditch the blow drying and straightining routine I had my whole life. Sounds like I'm exaggerating but this product made me love my hair and myself, made me accept my wavy hair. Just excellent. My only regret is that I wish I had found this product before.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! Only thing that works with my combination: straight, wavy and curly hair! Leaves it beautiful, crunch less, not greasy and it’s cruelty free! I use it all year round for a beautiful head of hair! :-)

I have been using this product for years! I love how the product doesn’t make my hair look wet. I am a natural blonde. Other products made my hair look darker than it is. Living in Florida it definitely gives my hair texture rather than a frizzy mess.

Paul Mitchell is a great brand, but this product was disappointing. The added oil weighed down my curls and made my hair feel more oily than soft. It would work better for someone with dry hair.

I was very hopeful that this would be a great product for my very curly hair. The first time I used it, it made almost no difference. So the next time I put a lot more in - and still not much difference to using nothing at all. Won’t be buying this again.

This really seemed it would be the perfect product to encourage my waves to be curlier - I do use other products that do the job - but no matter how long I rub it between my palms before applying the white and clear parts of the product don't fully mix and combine. The photo below is at the start of the process trying to get the product ready to apply and then, starting with a smaller amount (after dropping my phone into the product after the first photo) the result after vigorous rubbing. Sadly, intractable white chunks remain. Thought I'd post before chucking out an expensive bottle of products... looking at the reviews I'm not the only person who has experienced this. This is the first Paul Mitchell product that has so completely disappointed!

Love this product for my curly hair

This product works ok but leaves a lot of white chunks in your hair. It sucks because i was really looking forward to using it and now i feel i just wasted money.

I've used this off and on over 10 to 12 yrs now. It was always a great product. In the beginning I would know I put too much on because my hair would look like 3 day oil puddle. Which was fine..that was used as my gauge to how much I over did it that day. Then about 3 yrs ago i noticed a change in the scent..not the warm yummy scent anymore. These last 2 Mos I've used a brand new bottle and once again a change has been made. My hair NEvER would feel dry like straw and now it does. I never blow dry my hair nor use any type hot irons. This product is the only thing I've used. I thought maybe I used too much or not enough. Believe me when I say I'm a wolf hound when it comes to scents, smells, feel/texture and my hair is precious to me so I do know what I'm talking about and what I've done and not done. This formula continues to change. And that's it, I'm out. Not another Paul Mitchell expense coming from me..especially while the products cost an arm and a leg. You see?! Go and change stuff and you'll loose customers. I'm positive I'm not the only one.

The Twirl Around cream gel made my fine hair feel thicker and helped bring out the curl. I'm 58 years old and I'm letting my white hair come in, but my hair is also getting thinner as I get older, and my natural curl is more relaxed than it used to be. This cream gel made me feel like I had a thick head of hair! I love it!

I have curly hair but ver fine.This product gives me some shape and hold and is NEVER stiff.

Always makes my curls look nice and soft, not frizzy

I've used this product for ten years now and I love it! My frizz stays under control and my curls are soft.

I’m a 62 yr old woman with naturally curly hair past my waist. My hair, not extensions. I don’t blow-dry my hair or use curling implements. Every once in a long while (like 5years) I will use my ceramic flat iron just to have a different look for an occasion. But I’m a wash-and-wear woman. I live in Florida, and had not yet found a product that kept my hair from frizzing. I’ve used PM products in the past and liked them. Especially the Super Skinny Serum. So when I came across this product at a salon I decided to give it a try. It keeps my hair smooth without weighing down the curls. Once dry it can be a bit “crunchy” like a lot of leave in products. But i’ve found that gently scrunching my dry curls breaks it up, and leaves my hair soft, shiny, and curly. Unfortunately, as with other reviewers, I find small chunks of white in my hair after applying, even with pumping it into one of my palms and then vigorously rubbing my palms together to warm and emulsify the product. With as much hair as I have, combing through my wet curls and picking out the chunks is tedious. Will it keep me from using the product? Doubtful. Simply because it really makes my hair look lovely. However I may have to resort to using it only for special occasions, until the problem is solved.

Love it for my difficult frizzy hair. I love using it for everyday and you won't need to apply anything else, this is all you need.

A great styling lotion for wavy and curly hair. Defined curls without the crunch of a gel. Apply when hair is damp and twirl and coil around with your fingers. I love it!

I love using PALL Mitchell it makes my hair really nice and healthy, shiny and looks like its got a little bit more volume to it.

This is simply the best. Does it leave white chunkies? Occasionally. Is it still the best curl cream I've ever tried? Also yes. I tried other products for a while, became frustrated, and came back to this recently and almost cried because my hair looked so GOOD again!!! I will take the chunkies for the sake of the curls. So sad it seems to be out of stock everywhere and hope it comes back!!!

This product was recommended by a hair stylist at the Penney's salón; gave a try and liked it a lot my only negative opinion is that for my hair I had to use a lot meaning had to buy regularly.
