We ve been using this monitor since almost, couple of days ago it stopped working although it had the green light showing that it is working, then today it is not turning on whatsoever. Im very disappointed, i didn't expect this product to last for a year only.

This baby monitor is low frills, but a great product! I love how it picks up any noise the baby makes but doesn't transmit the sound machine noise. I also like that the receiving monitor lights up when there's sound so I can see it from across the room even when I can't hear it from that distance. We've gone through several monitors before this one, and this one is by far the best quality and at a very reasonable price.

Very upset with this monitor. It says it's linked when it's not. It'll cut in and out. It'll be silent then I'll hear my baby breathing for less than a minute than silence. I've tried numerous places in my baby's room and it still does the same thing!

I have many Philips Avent products but this one was a total waste of money. It cuts out when the parent monitor is still within range (only one room away). There have been many times I can hear my baby cry but the monitor does not make a sound, even though it is set on the highest volume and the link light is green. This product cannot be relied on and I do not trust it at all. This is extremely limiting and defeats the purpose of having a monitor all together. This product is a huge waste of money. I wish I had gone with a different product.

I love Philips and buy a lot of their Avent baby gear; pumps, pacifiers, etc. However this product is a huge disappointment and worse, at least to me, a concern. My one issue with it is its unreliable. It continuously says it is linked when it in fact is not. I've tested this multiple times. I keep music playing in my child's room, walk down the hallway and the link is lost but the light saying it is linked remains green and solid. I walk a few steps back and the music will come through again, rinse and repeat. I've even given the unit a chance to redeem itself by waiting about two minutes to see if it would re-establish itself once down the hallway, but no. I have to turn it off and then back on for it to do so, and it only last about a minute. Full batteries and limited possible interference's, everything. I've even reread the manual to see if I had missed anything, a smart mode for volume (music quieted automatically) and nothing.

We had another Philips Monitor that used rechargeable batteries and actually charged the battery pack when plugged in. This unit is misleading in that it advertises the use of regular or rechargeable batteries yet it does not tell you that neither the parent unit nor the monitor will actually charge the "rechargeable" batteries when it is plugged in. If we weren't mislead by the "rechargeable" statement we would have left this unit on the shelf. Besides that the unit seems fine however it goes through batteries fast and with no built in re-charger we would have been better off paying more for a unit that recharges itself when plugged in as this one led us to believe it did...

I received a free sample of this monitor and it performed well. It has a great range and battery life, and I love that you can keep it on silent and have a visual indicator if the baby is making noise. We use a white noise machine in our daughter's room and not having to hear it the whole time while she is taking a nap is wonderful.

Overall, I really love this product. Its very easy to use and also very convenient. I enjoyed the comfort of doing things around the house without worrying about if my daughter would move during naptime. I would definitely recommend this product to all moms.

I recieved this baby monitor free of charge for my honest review. I really loved this monitor for what it is which is a basic baby monitor that allows you to keep an extended ear on your baby. If you're looking for something high tech, this wouldn't be the product for you, but if you're looking for something basic this is a pretty decent model. I've already suggested this product to two of my friends. Good quality and works well. Easy to use and set up.

I was sent the baby monitors to try and review, and I loved them! The monitor that stays in the baby's room has a night light. It is dim but warm looking. They pick up so much noise. I also liked the simplicity and ease of use. These are great monitors for traveling.

I have received a free sample of this product in exchange for a review. If you're looking for a basic monitor, this one is perfect. It doesn't have the constant static most do since it only "comes on" when it picks up sound, which I love at night since I've always hated the static when trying to sleep. The sound is clear, perfect when listening to the baby babbling to himself. The parent unit has held up after a few drops. I do wish it had a belt clip so it'd be easier to carry when I'm carrying laundry up and down the stairs. Overall excellent product and would recommend.

I received this monitor for free in exchange for this review. I was surprised at how easy it was to install. Just plug it in and "go". The night light is an added bonus. It's easy to use and we have had zero interference issues with it. Nice addition to our nursery.

The Avent Baby Monitor we received as a free sample in order to review has been a dream come true! We have a couple other monitors, different brands, that have been "average" at best, some that even have visual display monitors #this one does not#, and this one is twice as good! It's super easy to use - it's basically "plug and play" as the saying goes - you can use it right out of the box without having to read the instructions 10 times. It can literally filter out sounds it realizes are part of white noise in the room #like if you have the baby in a swing that makes sounds, or some nursery music playing softly#. And it occasionally lets you hear the baby's soft breathing to ensure you're in-tuned to your baby. This monitor is AWESOME. I highly recommend it to everyone, it won't disappoint. Who cares if it doesn't have visual display, it's better than those anyhow. I should also mention, we have a fairly large house, and monitor range abilities have been a problem in the past with other monitors -- this one has ZERO issues with range, or even the upstairs/downstairs problem some encounter. Two thumbs up, Philips Avent!

Overall, this is a good monitor. On the plus side, it is easy to use, has a pretty strong connection. On the down side, the volume is kind of low, even as its highest volume. Also, I wish it was rechargeable, as the cost batteries tend to add up and it's somewhat unrealistic (at least for me) to keep it in one area all the time. However, this isn't too big of a problem. I received this baby monitor as a free sample and I am glad that I did because I replaced the ones we had with these. They work so well and I can always hear my baby. I work from home and my office is in the basement and she is upstairs but the monitor never looses the signal. I also love that it has a light up display so you can see and hear at the same time. Having the parent monitor work with batteries is also another plus. The monitor is very simple but it does it's job and works great!

The layout of our house hasn`t really caused for use of a baby monitor, but upon receiving a free sample, we wanted to give it a try. This monitor was super easy to set up and we did not have any static issues like I`ve read about with other products. The range is great - my husband and I felt comfortable sitting by the firepit in our backyard which we hadn`t been able to do before. We won`t be using it every night, but great product for times like this!

I received a free sample of this baby monitor. I was hesitant to use it as I have had a video monitor but we was surprised how well it picked up sound when we used it. We use a sound machine in my daughters room and the monitor had to be on the opposite side so it wouldn't pick up the sound machine but that wasn't a big deal. It was difficult to keep up as it doesn't have great support so I ended up just laying it down and it worked fine. Overall I think it is a good product for the price.
