I was surprise to find that this monitor has a very poor image and freeze all time. it is very slow while navigating through the parameters, i cant understand that it has more than 4 starts, this an Outdated monitor, you can find much much cheaper with better features in the market. Doesn't connect to WIFI.

After using this device for 1 month the battery does not even hold a charge anymore, The battery didn`t even last a month! cannot un plug the monitor with out the device shutting down which is very inconvenient. Also sometimes when turn it on after putting my daughter in bed the device will not connect until the camera is unplugged and plugged back in, which I then have to go back into the bedroom while my daughter is trying to go to sleep. Would not buy this device again or recommend to a friend.

For the cost of this useless device, they COULD include simple English instructions in print large enough to read. Will probably send it back, I have no use for frustrating overpriced products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Avent Baby Monitor we received from the weeSpring Parent Panel was a pretty great find! We had tried several different monitors and I will say that this is one of our favorites so far. I like that it came with it's own parent monitor screen and I didn't have to use my phone. The range on it is great as well! I am able to take the parent monitor all the way down to our barn and still receive video feed, so that is a huge plus! I also like the fact that I can change between various modes. At night the video feed keeps me awake with the screen glow, so it was really nice to be able to switch it to audio mode and not have the glow going all night. If my baby woke up the audio noise let me know and I could switch back to video to take a peek at what was going on. The only disadvantages to this monitor is that there is no pan or title feature. Our playroom is pretty large and the angle of the lens only shows part of the room, not the entire thing. We have a baby on the way and the toddler and he will be sharing the nursery. I do wish that we were able to see the entire room either though a wider lens angle or with a pan feature to move the camera. The last thing I will note is that at night the video mode is a little bit difficult to see. The night camera isn't the best quality and makes it hard to tell what is a stuffed animal in the toddlers bed and what is actually the toddler. Over four different monitors we've tried this is our favorite so far!

I received this product from the Stellar Parent Panel in exchange for my feedback. We LOVE this monitor. I have only ever used WiFi monitors before this one and struggled with them from the start. Setup is usually long and tedious and then we would struggle with maintaining consistent connection and quality. First, set up is crazy easy. We literally opened up the box, plugged in the camera and monitor and that’s it; we were using the camera for that nap time. The secure connection not only avoids pairing and re-pairing the camera over and over again, but gives you beautifully clear camera quality and audio quality. Turn on the monitor and that’s it, baby is in perfect view. We tried out the lullaby feature, microphone feature- both really cool options that we haven’t seen on past monitors. What really sets this monitor apart is the different modes you can use. For quiet play, we like to use the “audio” mode. We leave it on “video” mode for most naps so we can see the instant he wakes up. Our favorite is “Eco” mode for his nighttime sleeping. We set the sensitivity a little lower (he moves a lot in his sleep) and the screen only projects when he wakes up. That way we save so much battery life on our monitor, even though the battery life is already impressive not on eco mode. Overall, this is our favorite and most used baby product in our house right now and we definitely recommend.

I received the Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, and boy, am I glad I did! This monitor is fantastic! Here is why I feel like I have to take off one star: The monitor is fairly bulky to take with me as I do stuff around the house while baby sleeps. I would prefer it to be a little more compact. The video is a little grainy, depending on the lighting. Aside from the above points, I LOVE it! The set-up took me literally 30 seconds. Just plug in the camera, turn on the monitor, adjust camera angle, and you're good to go! It was very important to me that I wouldn't have to spend an eternity trying to connect to wifi or putting together parts. The built-in decibel sensor means audio will only come on if Baby makes significant noise - so I don't have to listen to white noise or lullaby renditions of Metallica and the Backstreet Boys all night long. Two-way audio lets me talk to Baby without being in the room. Temperature display lets me know that Baby will be sleeping comfortably. This monitor is definitely on the top of my list of monitors I have encountered over the course of my 20-year childcare career. The list of desirable features is long, the cost is reasonable, and the peace of mind parents can get from this device is priceless.

I really like this monitor because it doesn’t need to use the WiFi for connection and it’s very private and secure. I like that you can adjust the viewing angle of the baby camera and the baby monitor is portable and runs on its own battery. The baby monitor is 3.5 inches color screen with a 2x zoom capability. It has very good quality picture and it doesn’t lag— provides quick feedback. If I wanted to, I am able to am able to talk to the baby through the monitor, able to play lullabies, provide a night light and also monitors room temperature. There are also different modes you can use while monitoring baby such as video, audio, vox and eco mode. My favorite is the eco mode because it saves energy by reducing power use by switching off the audio and video and turns on as soon as baby makes a noise. The only reason why I gave this produce a 4/5 rating is because the camera for the baby is not portable so if you lose power, there will be no video link of baby until the power is restored. I had a black out occur and I didn’t get to video monitor my baby until the power came back on. But overall, I really like this baby monitor. I received this monitor to test it as part of the weeSpring parent panel. We loved this monitor! The video quality is great and it’s very accurate as well. I love that it doesn’t connect to my phone or an app, because I want to be able to use it independently of an internet connection. I love how the video quality is clear as well.

I really like the Phillps Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor. I received it from the weeSpring Parent Panel and I am so grateful I was able to use it for my little one, especially during nap time. I loved being able to see him with the color monitor and the talkback feature was awesome. He was very surprised when I told him to lay back down and he could not see me. I had no problems with the night vision to keep an eye on him while he sleeps. Can't wait to use it again for baby #2 due in February. I would definitely recommend to anyone expecting or in need of a new baby monitor.

I received this product thanks to weespring Parent panel free of charge to review. I am no spring chicken with this being my third son. I had used a “higher” end model for the past two boys and let me tell you this monitor blew them out of the water. I had to replace the monitor twice on our previous monitors and they are not cheap even under warranty. I was pleasantly surprised with how much the battery lasted longer on the Philips Avent monitor. The monitor was sturdy and reached every part of my house including our wrap around patio. That is something that neither monitors I had previously did. I also quite enjoyed the eco mode because it kept me from staring at the monitor when I woke up in the middle of the night. I was able to trust that if any of my boys were awake the monitor would have alerted me and the camera view would be available. Overall, this simple no bells and whistles blew my fancy monitors out of the water. A+++

This monitor is a solid, quality choice for new parents, or those looking to upgrade their monitors. Not only does this monitor offer video and audio only features, the quality of the video and audio is fantastic! It also comes with several thoughtful features that most monitors lack, such as eco mode (day hello to a long lasting monitor), great range, a solid base (bye bye struggling with a monitor kickstand at 3am) and a clip so you can carry the monitor hands-free. The video quality for both daytime and nighttime is great. The one feature I felt was missing is the ability for the camera to be moved by the monitor, but the camera itself has fun features that make up for that. I loved being able to play nursery music straight from the camera while rocking my baby. Thank you Wee Spring Parent Panel for providing us with this amazing monitor!

Thank you to weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this baby monitor. I would give this a solid 4+ out of 5 stars. We have been using the infant optics dxr-8 prior to this monitor, and we love that this Philips Avent one has a better range (compared to the infant optics one that often beeps saying that there is no signal if we get not that far from the nursery), video display (it has a clearer video display), and our favorite feature is the ECO mode --- it turns the monitor screen on from being on standby and alerts us when our baby is moving or making a noise. The only con which prevents me from giving this product a 5 full stars is the lack of pan and zoom feature; it does not allow me to pan and zoom the camera from the monitor and the zoom feature compared to our other monitor is not as great.

This will be the third baby monitor I have tried to love. The first one just stopped working with no notice, the second one wouldn't stay connected to Wifi or to the monitor itself, this one never had any connectivity issues which is really nice. There are things I liked about the Philips Avent monitor and things I didn't. I will break them down for you. At first glance I was so excited with the design and sturdiness of the video monitor. The camera itself felt a little flimsy and I was super bummed it didn't have the universal camera mount that most security cameras have. I didn't want to have to drill another hole into our walls. The quality of the image is okay, not super great which is another thing I was bummed about, I can't seem to get a super clear picture, its either blurry or fuzzy. The night vision (which is when I use this camera the most) is really not good quality at all. Its super fuzzy and picks up every speck of dust that moves through the air. It was actually kind of creeping me out to be honest. The sound quality however was one of my favorite features of this monitor. It doesn't have that annoying buzz that would be my babies sound machine, it only picks up her cries and sounds which I thought was super cool. I actually didn't think the sound worked until she made a noise! The amount of features this monitor comes with is really cool. I liked using Eco Mode and Audio mode, especially when using the night vision that was not great quality. There are also a good number of lullabies you can play for baby that are quite soothing and not annoying whatsoever. All in all, I struggled between giving this monitor a 3 or a 4 star rating. I would give a 3.5 so I will round up to a 4. If you don't mind a not so great night picture I don't foresee you having any issues with this monitor. It's one of the better ones I have tried. I have been using this Philips Avent Video Baby Monitor for the past few weeks and have tried to find something I don’t like about it and honestly, I can’t! My honest opinion is this is the best video monitor on the market and will be the last one we own! I love all the features it has like the night light, lullaby songs, 2 way talk feature. My 2 favorite features is has are the temperature reading inside the room and the ECO feature. I don’t like having a bright screen light on while I’m trying to sleep so I just switch it to ECO mode and the screen will just come on when my daughter makes a noise (depending on the sensitivity level I have it set on). I was kinda skeptical at first not thinking the video clarity would be good enough but once again I was wrong and the picture quality is great! If I hear and see my daughter getting a little restless I just turn on one of the lullaby songs from the parent unit so I don’t have to get out of bed and go into her room. It also works great for nap time as I can just clip it on my belt and walk around the house or go outside and finish up yard work. You will not be disappointed in the unit at all! The Philips Avent baby monitor is the best baby monitor we’ve used throughout our three children baby stage. It’s quick and easy to set up and even easier to use. I tried it out on both my 16 month old and my 5 month old. For my baby, since he’s still in our room, I placed it near my own dresser and turned it towards his crib. On occasion I even placed it within his crib, at the foot of his mattress. It’s so compact and portable that it doesn’t take up hardly any room and is easy to maneuver and set up to your exact liking. This was a great option for whenever I went outside with my older children while the baby was napping. I was still able to take the portable display part and keep an eye on my baby without being in the house. For my 16 month old I placed it on his dresser and turned to face his bed. My 16 month old loves sleeping in the dark and likes to have his door closed when napping/sleeping. Despite how dark it was in his room, the monitor still provided a great image. The monitor itself is also great since there’s no blinking bright light when in use or a lit up screen. Aside from the optional night light (which itself isn’t too bright either), you can’t even tell the monitor is there, let alone on. This is great if you have an older child who will try and touch it if he could see it. The actual screen/display is also quite light and portable. The screen itself is a good size, and the option to turn down the sound and still receive alerts when baby is making noise was a blessing when using it with my 16 month old. My baby (who’s crib is still in our room) wasn’t bothered by his older brother whenever he made noise. I was happy to have received the Phillips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel, in exchange for my honest review.

The picture quality is phenomenal and the sound quality is great, it's loud enough to hear baby but not too overpowering you can't have a conversation. I love the music and sounds features that I can turn on from the monitor without having to go into the nursery and risk waking up baby! The only thing I was frustrated with was I felt it was hard to adjust the camera from the monitor!

We loved this PA video baby monitor! The screen is huge in comparison to other brands, but not so bulky as to not be able to move from room to room. We have a 3000sqft home, and had a great connection everywhere. The night vision is great quality as well, and I really liked the ability to set temperature alarms. With the change of weather, we have been leaving windows open, and it woke me up when it got too cold in our little man's room! I also liked the nightlight feature, we were able to condense and get rid of the wall plugin one we were using previously. The Philips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor has a lot going for it! We used it in place of an older monitor for our second child (just turned 1 year old). Assembly was a breeze and the toggling through settings was easy and intuitive. I absolutely love the ECO mode as it saves energy and limits the amount of interruptions to my sleep while still alerting me to her needs. I call that a major mom win! The video monitor was clear and I had no issues with the size, clarity or connection. I think the music/sounds were my favorite feature of this monitor. We can play these as my daughter falls asleep and then cut them off once she is and utilize ECO mode. The one feature about the monitor I felt was lacking is the ability to move the mount via the display as the child grows and becomes a toddler moving around the room. This monitor is perfect for my baby but would not work for my son who has more freedom but still needs us to keep an eye on him at night and during “quiet time.” I’d like to thank WeeSpring Parent Panel for allowing me this opportunity to try and review this new Phillips Avent Digital Video Baby Monitor.

I received this baby monitor through the WeeSpring Parent Panel in exchange for my honest review of the product. I really loved this monitor! It has multiple functions including a microphone to talk to your baby, lullabies that you can play for baby, and different monitoring modes including audio and eco mode. I love the audio only mode for nighttime- the sound of baby will wake me but I do not have the light from the monitor keeping me up! The range on the monitor is great- I can go all throughout my house and even on my deck and still hear baby. Picture quality is excellent, one of the best that I have seen on monitors!

The Philips Avent baby monitor is by far the easiest monitor to set-up, and fairly easy to use. I used it in my child's bedroom and set it up on the dresser in order to get a direct view into her crib. I was impressed by how well I could see her, even in the dark. My favorite feature is although you know the monitor is on, you cannot see any bright lights or any signals that it is on, therefore it doesn't interrupt my child's sleep (she likes it dark in her room). The ability to have the volume turned down low and still see the indicator that the baby is making noise has been a lifesaver. I particularly loved how it can be in any room of the house that I'm in, it has amazing range. The video part of the monitor is also easily moved. I have been able to take the monitor with me when we go to a friends house, or family members and love the ability to do so. Another great feature is that it doesn't require WiFi, which I also add as a safety feature I don't have to worry about anyone accessing the monitor through the WiFi. EcoMode was a great feature as it only picked up my daughters sounds when she was making a noise, therefore if I was napping as well I didn't pick up the background noise, only when my child would cry or wake up. While this monitor has many amazing qualities I wanted to point out that the instructions aren't particularly thorough and it was difficult to figure out how to use the music feature. After a couple of tries I was able to figure out how to do it but it would've been helpful if the instructions were a little more descriptive on this feature. I was happy to have received it as part of the WeeSpring Parent Panel, had I not I wouldn't have thought to look into this brand. Typically I think of Philips Avent in terms of bottles, however, I am so glad I was able to try this out because this was a winner for me and my family.
