My previous Philips electric toothbrush lasted about 8 years…but this one is a nightmare, and I regret buying it. Same problems as everyone else here. Original HX992P lasted 8 months, replacement lasted 36 hrs. It seems like the motor is too strong for the other parts so everything falls apart

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a difficult transition but I do feel it’s a great toothbrush. I have a very small mouth and you no longer have compact brush heads Th heads are quite larger than I’m used to. I do enjoy the other features of the toothbrush.
Even better than before!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using Philips Diamond Clean toothbrush for several years and have always loved it and our dental exams show it's working. Sadly, old faithful finally gave up the ghost after several years of service. So we upgraded to the latest version and, wow! So much better than even the previous version. Looking forward to several more years of good exams.

This is my second sonicare to stop working. There is soething fundamentally wrong with them and they have to be using super cheap components as they are breaking way too quickly. The cost relative to the reliability is as bad as any product I've ever used. FIND OTHER BETTER OPTIONS.

I have had this toothbrush for 4 years and it still works just as it did when it was brand new. Other than replacing the brush heads and charging it, I haven’t had any problems with this. I have traveled with it extensively with no problems. Very worth the price tag and definitely would buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I came from an old E-Series toothbrush, and loved it. I was reluctant to upgrade, but have been very happy with the DiamondClean series so far. It takes a little time to get used to the new 20-second intervals. I wish the DiamondClean had 10 second intervals as well, but I don't see that option. What I STRONGLY dislike about this toothbrush is the travel case. It's HUGE and doesn't even provide a USB charging port. There's no need for the case to be this big and I would argue that it shouldn't qualify as a "travel" case because it's going to take up a lot of room in your bag. You're better off just putting the toothbrush in a Ziploc bag to save space. I hope they fix the travel case in the future because it really feels like an afterthought and not what I would expect from Phillips.

I’ve had two of these DiamondCleans in the past 8-10 years. They’re great products but they have consistently broken down on me. Each time I bought one, I had to send them back within the first two years due to malfunction within the warranty and then I get another 2-3 years out of them. The most recent purchase was 2019 with a replacement sent in 2021. A week ago, the motor started malfunctioning again. From my experience, these have a shelf life of ~5years.

My diamond clean is 3 years old..at the 1 year mark it started vibrating even when it was off. Philips changed it out under warranty. Now it has stopped charging. I tried it on both chargers and it's dead. This is my second Diamond Clean in 5 years. Feels like planned obsolescence.

Hi there, Thank you for writing your review. We are sorry to hear that your Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9300 is not charging. We recommend you follow the steps in the order listed. In between steps, check to see if the issue is resolved before moving to the next. The chargers for all Sonicare toothbrushes are different and not compatible with other Sonicare models. We recommend charging the toothbrush using the original charger that came with it. Does your toothbrush not charge when it is plugged in? Your outlet might not be working. Try using a different outlet to charge it. Check if your charging adapter or cord is damaged. If you notice any damage to your adapter or cord, stop using it immediately. Purchase a replacement in our online store. If you use a charging stand, pad, or glass, ensure that your toothbrush is placed centrally on the charger. The toothbrush will release two short beeps, or the battery light indicator will light up, confirming that the toothbrush is placed on the charger correctly. If these tips do not help, or if you need further assistance, please reach out to us via social media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry; if you don’t use social media, you can also reach out to us via our contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. Hope to speak to you soon. Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care.

This is my second sonicare toothbrush. I decided to upgrade and give my older model to my daughter, which worked great for years and still does. I've had this new one for 10 month's and the metal peg on which the brush head is seated has come loose and the toothbrush no longer functions properly. As a Dental Assistant I can no longer recommend this product and am deeply disappointed.
