Polypropylene exhibit good resistance to high temperatures and are much less likely to be affected by boiling water. I’ve really been missing out not owning this sooner. I use it primarily when I hand wash certain dishes and set them over to dry. Before I would towel dry or set out on a towel to dry, but this is just more quick, efficient and takes up no counter space. It is size adjustable, lightweight, easy to rinse clean and super handy.

What can I say? I love love love this. We downsized to a smaller home and only have what we absolutely need. We use it for draining spaghetti, defrosting frozen shrimp, rinsing off canned beens, and washing fruits and vegetables.

I purchased this colander as it had a soaking tray underneath. While the colander expands to fit different sink sizes (great) the tray underneath is only one set size. Doesn’t work for me as the colander needs to be expanded to fit my sink.
