Q: I don't have a garbage disposal. Would this product work well to eliminate a stinky drain if I simply place one in the drain or does it need to be ground up and flushed down the drain with water like a garbage disposal do?

A: Plink Garbage Disposer Cleaner and Deodorizer is formulated to wash away foul drain odors and help keep your disposal smelling fresh. Plink needs the combination of hot water and the rotating blade action to penetrate the tablet to break down and release fragrance. Plink would not work effectively in drains without a disposal. You may be interested in trying another Plink product, Plink Fizzy Drain, which is designed to freshen and clean any drain in the home.

Q: How long do the plink pellets last? I have some that are hard and do not work as noted.

A: When stored properly in the original packaging, Plink Garbage Disposer Cleaner and Deodorizer has no shelf life limitation. Hardness should not affect the efficacy of the product.

We moved into a new house and the garbage disposal was revolting. I pulled off the top piece to find food and mold caked on it - SO gross and required steel wool to get off. That's what I was dealing with. These definitely helped with the smell, especially as it's running. It doesn't seem to last very long (probably due to how bad our disposal was/is) but I do feel confident that it's making a dent. Especially helpful to use right before you have guests come over!
