These pre-measured pouches combine Odor Blasters with the power of OxiClean to clean your washing machine, remove odors, and help keep it smelling fresh. To use, tear one washer cleaner pouch and toss into an empty washer without clothes or other items. Select the Clean Washer Cycle and run the machine without laundry detergent. If the washer doesn’t have a Clean Washer Cycle, run in a normal hot water cycle. After the cycle is complete, wipe away any remaining residue with a towel and leave the washing machine door open to allow better ventilation. For maintenance, use OxiClean washing machine cleaner once a month to help keep your HE or standard washing machine looking and smelling clean. For existing odors and residues, use once a week for three consecutive weeks, then once a month thereafter for maintenance. Am I the only one that was today years old when I found out that washing machines need to be cleaned, too?? Yeah, well, when I started washing my clothes and finding lint deposits on them that only got there AFTER washing them, and bits of dirt from other dirty laundry loads sticking around the washer itself, I was recommended a washing machine cleaner tab. Pop it in on the hottest setting with the largest load and let it run through the cycle with a deep rinse and your machine will be like brand new. As with all OxiClean products, I am impressed, invested, and fully committed to this brand as a loyal, clearly satisfied customer.

This seems to clean the washer well. Our washer starts to smell and makes the laundry smell after awhile but this always gets it back on track. It has a fresh scent - and even though I'm not a huge fan of scent in laundry products right now - it's not offensive.

I agree with other folks that the smell of the Oxi-Clean is too strong. I have a Maytag front load washer and after using Oxi-Clean an error code popped up warning that the drain time was longer than expected. After a little research, I found that can be caused by excess suds. Sure enough there were suds left in the washer after using the Oxi-Clean. I won’t be using this product again.

This product is excellent to only clean and deodorize. It exceeded my expectations and I really enjoy the fresh scent. As a matter of fact I prefer heavily scented laundry and cleaning products. If you are someone that is sensitive to perfumes or scented products then you may want to consider using something else. Wow this really has a musty moth ball old closet stuffy kind of fragrance. What were they thinking?! It’s like an old sweater pulled out of a coffin.
