I bought the React Sound bar primarily to improve clarity of dialogue on television programs. It is excellent in that regard. Sports, movies, talk shows all mix their sound tracks differently and the variety of mode selections as well of voice and bass +/- adjustments make dialog in all formats come through clearly. I was not particularly in the market for Alexa capability or deeper base sound, but have found those features to be more appreciated than I had expected. I didn’t know how lacking my TV’s built-in speaker were until I compared them to the React sound bar; huge improvement! Additionally, set up was extremely easy. Mostly plug & play. Only setting up Alexa took a few additional steps, but that was also quick and simple with the Alexa app. Overall, I’m very happy with the React sound bar and plan to buy another for a TV in my lower level.

So far I've been using it two days. Install was easy no directions necessary for me, used earc hmdi hookup and linked it with my fire tv. The sound quality is phenomenal even though I've yet to break it in or turn it up loud. Will purchase with Polk again soon. Shipping was also very fast but it was Also Christmas time.

I had this bar for about a year, with mostly success. Then, trying to connect to a new TV, the Action button stopped working on both the device and the remote. The microphone mute button stopped working. Fun fact? You can't factory reset if the Action button stops worked. And it disconnected from Amazon Alexa. I was absolutely stuck with a non-functioning unit. Moving on to a different brand. Disappointed.

It is an excellent sound bar, easy to use and setup, the remote is also great. It does fill the bedroom nicely with sound, you can also hear the lows. Definetly a great buy. Will probably purchase the separate sub for some extra punch. Thank you, Polk Audio.

there is a loud humming noice particularly with the base sounds. In order to avoid this we have to keep the should lower.....thus doing away with the advantage of having the sound bar in the first place. May be returning the product.

Polk speakers with Alexa don’t work

We could not get the speakers to connect to Alexa. We spent over six hours trying to make the hook-up. We eventually gave up and returned the speakers to Polk. I should note we are still waiting for the refund on our purchase.

works ok doesn’t sound much different than the tv itself . alexa won’t link up to the wifi and there are way to many steps to figure it out . i’ll keep it as i’ve thrown out the packing box . very difficult to register tried it three times thru google

Just set it up and everything works great. Just one problem; the light bar in front keeps flashing a pale yellow color and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it.

Great Sound; Some Lip Sync Issues

The soundbar sounds great, and the Alexa integration works well. However, we have an issue with lip sync between the soundbar and TV on some programs. We are using an HDMI (ARC) for connection, but still struggle with lip sync occasionally (especially on news broadcasts.)

I bought one of these about a month ago. It’s a good Polk quality sound bar and I have no complaints about that. However, the remote and it’s ability to communicate with the soundbar is absolute garbage. And I mean to the point that we barely even use the soundbar. It’s just bloody awful and it makes an otherwise good product unusable in our household. We’re very disappointed.

I purchased this sound bar fully expecting it to be a seamless companion with my other Alexa devices but that was furthest from the truth. The sound bar is not at all compatible with Apple Music through Alexa. It took me 4 days to find this out through the customer service. When I spoke to the supervisor of Polk he said that they don’t advertise that Apple Music is compatible, so contractually speaking they are not falsely advertising. This got me extremely frustrated because all of my other Alexa devices are compatible with Alexa. If you’re not compatible with an extremely popular streaming service, wouldn’t one obviously advertise that so that people who have that streaming service can obviously look into it more? It is a great sound bar with some external extensions (subwoofer and side speakers) that I was pretty excited to get and link up, but not so much now. Also if you hope to play music with all your Alexa devices including the Polk react, it is extremely glitchy and won’t continuously play music. My experience is that after playing a song or two it’ll stop playing in my Polk react and still play on my amazon Alexa devices. The only way to reset it is to continuously go to the Alexa application and continuously put that you want to put music everywhere which can be an extreme hassle when one just wants to listen to music and relax.

Put this soundbar in our bedroom last week and don’t think we will be adding a subwoofer. Put the bar in our bedroom with a 65” TV. The sound is excellent and clear on its own.was easy to set up initially and when I had problems adding Alexa, Andria walked me through it in no time, very professionally.Would highly recommend recommend this soundbar, and by the way, thus us my first Polk product and I am glad I bought it!

Definitely will buy another one and the rear wireless and sub. Put this outside for our patio tv and was blown away from the sound. All my other speakers are Polk. Definitely the best!!

Overall, I'm very impressed with this soundbar. Even Alexa's ability to hear/understand me over my screaming kids:). The base is surprisingly good without the sub and it easily fills my 18x20 room with sound. My only issue is that the soundbar seems to revert to a standby or 'voice' mode after 20 minutes of music being used to it via a Bluetooth phone or being played by the internal alexa device. This is SUPER annoying.
