I played Pirates of the Caribbean, it sounded like the pirates were literally singing next to me. And the soundtrack quality improves so much that I felt like being in the theater. This is absolutely a great buy if you watch TV at home. Also, my daughter loves to watch Ms Rachel on it too😂

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s one of those things like … I didn’t realize how bad my sight had been until I had started wearing contacts. Same here. You don’t think you need it until you try it and you can’t go back to boring, flat sound. I love how it has upgraded our movie nights, Netflix sessions, sports and even the voices when we watch the news. Installation was super easy and it just connects to my Apple TV remote though I can pick more specific settings in the app as well.

I love that you can use it as a Bluetooth speaker and play music from your phone. It’s nice being able to play ambient music quietly and still hear the vocals or clarity. I bought this to go with the Bravia 7 Mini LED which is terrific. I knew this soundbar had center channel synch with the TV so that would be helpful to create clear dialog. Unfortunately the dialog is much more difficult to hear with the sound bar attached. Even with voice turned up to maximum and tuned for the room dialog was not great. I thought maybe it was just me, but I bought another soundbar and dialog is clear as a bell. I moved the Sony Theatre Bar 8 to a bedroom TV with no soundbar. My wife and I both agree the built in TV speaker is has much clearer dialog.

It did take me some to figure out setting up/connecting it to my non-smart TV but once I did, it’s been elevating my experience watching shows and listening to music on Spotify. Highly recommend downloading the Bravia Connect app BEFORE turning on and attempting to connect it on your own. The app walks you step by step on connecting and calibrating. One slight inconvenience has been having to manually switch back and forth between TV audio and the Bravia Theater Bar 8 when I turn on my TV- this might be my TV issue since it’s not a smart TV.

After so much from Sony this year that turned out to be as good as they promised, the decision to do my latest soundbar as Sony was an easy choice to make. it was an easy choice to make. I chose the Bar 8 as opposed to the Bar 9 because of my small room size. Once again it turns out to be pure perfection. Great sound, it absolutely does everything that their product description says it will do. Plus, as Sony has proven before the level of service from their staff was equally impressive. I have it with the optional subwoofer and now intending to add the RS5 rear speakers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sony Bravia Theatre 8 Bar arrived it was in a big box and it was heavy when l open it, it had the remote control cables and a wall mounting brackets and also was a pair of small feet for the soundbar to sit on it you don’t want to wall mount it and all, To install and set up this soundbar l needed to download the Bravia Connect App available via the App Store or the Play Store, and it very easy to install and set-up within just a few clicks due to it being Bluetooth and WiFi and with an impressive 495 Watts of RMS power output, Now to the sound of this impressive soundbar, its very clear and very sharp from the 11 speakers this soundbar has the sound goes out in all directions front, top, and sides the bass that comes from this soundbar is very impressive which comes from its Quad Woofer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When the box arrived I couldn't wait to open it and set it up. I thought it wouldn't be easy but having discovered with other Sony Products I was pleasantly surprised. I first had to re-arrange my HDMI inputs on my Sony TV as the soundbar needed to use a EARC HDMI socket and I had my Cable TV box connected to it. Unpacking was fairly straight forward and contained everything needed to connect the Sound Bar to the TV. I particularly liked the dimple on the box for visually impaired people so they could get where the QR code was for downloading the APP. Putting it all together and TV detecting and downloading the extra piece of software it needed took no time at all. The sound bar works with everything connected to the TV, turns on and off with the box even though a seperate remote control is provided. There is also a separate HDMI in on the bar should you require an extra one since your taking one up on the TV. Loading the APP takes you through a sequence of events including setting up your listening space based on acoustics in your room. A warning would have been nice when the loud popping sounded across each speaker but the whole process was over quickly. The sound stage is brilliant and has really enhanced not only listening to standard cable TV but also DVDs and streaming services through the TV. A nice overall self contained sound bar with big sound. Only criticism is that it comes with two wooden feet which re aimed at raising it across the TV stand legs but were too short in this case so bar rested on TV stand. Im surprised at this oversight as they were part of the Sony TV installation. The sound bar does come with wall brackets should you choose to wall mount. A great edition to have to improve even more on the Sony TV sound.

It was easy to connect via mobile phone & sony app, bearing in mind that Im over 70 & female! Sound is very good & looks very smart. I have placed it in front of my tv as wall mounting wasn't an option as we have sliding doors. It does work perfectly where it is though. Im very pleased & would certainly recommend.

The sound is pretty good, although not what I would have thought it would’ve sounded like for the price point that it is at. Don’t take that wrong though, because this product is still a hit. I would definitely buy this if it was on sale without a doubt. It is an amazing sound bar, it gives a crisp clear speech and sound. I have another sound bar from a different company at a lower price point than what this Sony Bravia theater bar 8 is and you can tell the Sony Bravia theater bar is higher quality, but in my opinion, you definitely need subwoofers with this. I will look into purchasing the subwoofers for this theater bar. The only thing that was frustrating was the setup process. I definitely had some connectivity issues with this in the beginning, the instructions that came with it didn’t really tell me how to connect it with my TV wirelessly. Then I remembered that somewhere online when I was doing research on this soundbar, I saw someone mention that you need the Bravia app. So I had to download the app to use the theater bar, which was kind of annoying, but there are some pretty cool aspects to use in the app that you wouldn’t be able to have without using an app. I had to log into my Samsung account because I hadn’t used one in a while so that took me a while to login. The remote control that comes with. It is also great. It seems like it is high-quality and it is easy to press the buttons. Overall, honestly, I would definitely buy this sound bar and think this is an amazing product. The sound itself is amazing and the bass that comes out of it is insane for just a soundbar itself. Honestly, out of all electronic companies, Sony really never misses and their products have always lasted me for years, which makes me a loyal customer.

The design is so nice and discrete. It looks great on any tv set up. I have a 55" tv and it almost matches the size. It comes with a remote control that makes it so comfortable to use. The sound is very well balanced but also gives an excellent 3-dimensional sound. Movies will draw you in with the power and clarity of this soundbar. Even without the sub-woofer, it sounds great. You should download the Bravia app to configure the soundbar to your room and your listening position for the best results. The app has a number of features for tweaking the sound. Note that you don't have to use this with a Sony Bravia TV. I'm using mine with an older Visio D65, and it works great. The bar itself is the most perfect size. it's slim for any small space i highly recommended. This sounds bar it sounds amazing!

The sound quality is clear and pristine. Each sound setting complements as expected enhancing your listening experience. If you’re in the market for a soundbar I recommend this one. The sound bar even came with brackets to mount below your tv that seemed super easy to use. Unfortunately, I did not mount my sound bar due to my current setup, but the option is available. Installation: 10/10, Super easy.. App/QR code Product: 10/10 User friendly functions even for those who are less tech savvy. Sound: Bass 10/10, Clarity 10/10, and Surround Sound 10/10. You can adjust the volume without losing sound clarity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would love to get really deep into this review like I do with my others, but unfortunately, my HDMI on my current TV is not compatible with the product. So, for the time being, I will give this review based off of initial thoughts on the product sans set up until I can get a new TV, which I definitely need (mine is 7 years old 😅). Sizing/Weight - If you look at the picture carefully, the Bravia Theater Bar 8 is far longer than my below Insignia sound bar. It is also by far much heavier in comparison to both my soundbar and my Samsung TV. I believe the added weight, while bulky, can keep it sturdy and from easily being knocked over during an earthquake, which we definitely have plenty of in Southern California. Connectivity - While I am unable to connect to my TV due to having the wrong type of HDMI, the product is actually compatible with more than just Sony and I really like the inclusivity as someone who uses almost entirely just Sony and Samsung products in my home. Sound Quality - I'll return to this one at a later time when I have a new TV 🙂 Price point - It's honestly rather pricy imo, but if it's like other Sony products, I can imagine the quality being worth the price. (I'd recommend it if you're looking for something for family movie nights, or hosting sporting event viewings with friends 4/5☆ for now, will come back at a later time to re-review and hopefully a better picture with better lighting 🙂

But after receiving the Sony Bravia Theater Bar 8, I don’t think I’ll ever buy a new TV without one. First off, installation was extremely easy and it connected to my TV and Spotify right away. I love how there’s an app for it to adjust volume and change sound profiles/settings. It also looks super sleek on my console in front of my TV. And the sound quality… WOW 🤩. I’m the type of person who is always playing music out loud on my phone/laptop/external speakers and I’ve completely switched over to playing it from the sound bar because it sounds infinitely better. The music sounds so much clearer, crisper, bass-ier, and the 360 spatial sound mapping makes the music feel so immersive. It’s also the same experience when watching a TV show or music. You truly feel like you’re a part of the cinematic experience. Overall, I’m extremely impressed and my ears are very happy with Sony’s sound bar.
