Prequel Facial Gleanser Cleanser - 13.5 fl oz

I was hesitant to buy because so many influencers raved about it but it truly has become a holy grail item of mine. I was in love with the krave beauty matcha cleanser then they changed their formula a few years ago and ever since I have tried HUNDREDS of cleansers and none of them were ever just right. And in this economy the amount you get for the price is amazing.

Shocked at how wonderful this felt post shower. I'm used to skin tightness right after washing it, but this somehow prevents that from happening. The consistency is very slippy, a little goes a long way with this. Effective in cleaning my skin without stripping the little moisture it has.

I’ve been using this as my second cleanser in a double cleanse routine for about 5 months. I can only say it is a most unique product that cleanses with a luxurious feel. The glycerin gives Gleanser such a silky feel and cleanses the skin beautifully. I’m 65, use retinol and this calms my skin along with using the skin barrier gel- a must for retinol users. You really have to try it- there is nothing like it out there- trust me- I Know!

This cleanser is my ride or die. I will never use any other cleanser. I use this one for daytime and then use the salicylic acid one for nighttime. It’s soft and and luxurious and leaves my skin clean but not stripped. I also use it on my body too!

I have been using the Cleanser, Vitamin C, Multi-Quench, Redness Reform, and Half and Half Cream for two weeks, but I haven’t noticed any improvement or even an immediate feeling of hydration. It feels like I’m using too many products at once for too little benefit—if any.

Glycerin, like ALL humectants (looking at you hyaluronic acid) wants to pull moisture to itself and will pull it from the deeper layers of the skin if there isn't enough in the air. Glycerin (or any humectant) in this high of quantities can be incredibly drying depending on where you live. I live in Colorado, and when I tried it I immediately got that tight, dry feeling, followed by redness and inflammation I didn't get with my cream cleanser. Sure, my face felt SO smooth, at least until the irritation set in. Also, aloe vera juice *can* cause contact dermatitis, so just watch out for that if you're reading this and have very very sensitive skin.

I love how moisturizing it is. It doesn’t leave my face feeling stripped.

Really love this product. Goes on really nice. Keeps breakouts away and makes my skin feel so clean.

This cleanser leaves my skin hydrated and soft, especially after using the Prequel Pre-Oil!! They both work so well together as well as alone!!

My husband and I share face wash although our skin types are VERY different, and sometimes face washes don't work for both of us. But this facial cleanser is amazing. It's non drying and only has the basics of what you need. It doesn't irritate my husbands acne and eczema skin because it's sensitive and the line is designed by a dermatologist here in California! Also for the size of the bottle it'll lay you forever! Although it's a body wash too. Do yourself a favor, pass on Sephora and grab this at Target and save yourself and your skin the hassle.

I have been using this cleanser for a good while now. I've re-purchased it numerous times. I use it on my face and body. I have dry skin and live in colorado which is a very dry place so moisture is very important for me. This cleanser does not strip my skin, it helps my face and body skin stay hydrated throughout the day. I also loveee the texture. I've now got my husband hooked on it. Also paired with the urea moisturizer you've got a super strong moisture barrier that lasts all day! Definitely recommend. The size of the bottle is also incredible for the price. I love everything about this cleanser.

I was so excited to try this cleanser because of all the good reviews. Unfortunately my acne prone skin did not like it at all. My skin was by no means totally clear when I started using it but this clogged my pores on my chin so badly I have so many tiny white heads and painful cyst. I stopped using it after two weeks. It's been a month and a half I'm still trying to clear up the clogged pores on my chin. I would stay away from this if you have acne prone skin.

I bought this to use as part of two step face wash. The other item I use to wash my face is moisturizing but Prequel does a much better job of moisturizing. It is exactly what I was looking for. I think the price is very reasonable although the shipping is high.

Everyone online has been recommending this cleanser. I read the ingredients list and thought it would be amazing. After just one use my skin was SOOOOO dry. I didn't change anything else in my routine so this is definitely the culprit. It makes no sense because of the extra glycerin, you'd think it would not be drying. Not sure what happened here but I did not use this on my face again.

I bought this a little over a month ago. I have skin that needs to be eased into new products, so admittedly, using this once a week since purchase. The smell was fine initially, now, it smells exactly like ammonia. An incredibly strong smell, to the point where the bottle is ruined and unusable. My best guess is a chemical component expired, or I received an old bottle that was almost expired? Either way a terrible experience.
