I gave 1 star out of frustration. I purchased this Dec 2024 and canned chicken, green beans and carrots- all jars failed to seal and I don’t know why. While I’m new at canning - all steps were followed and no error messages were received. I like the ease of the electric canning process.

Our canner arrived very quickly! It's much easier to use than a conventional canner and the laminated instruction sheet that came with it is well written and easy to follow. We broke it in by canning some sweet potatoes in quarts and it performed flawlessly,,,so far, very pleased!

This canner has been on the shelf more than being used. First lid was bad and they sent me a new lid. It worked a couple of times after that now the seal won’t stay put so it never comes to full pressure. Now it’s blowing breakers. I have wasted so much time and food with this thing. I would not recommend it AT ALL.

I have owned this product since 2021 and I love it! I am an experienced canner and I own a Presto 16 Quart Pressure Canner as well as an All American 930 Pressure Canner, but this one has become my absolute "go to" for quick smaller canning jobs. It is quiet, efficient and fool-proof. The canner itself gives step-by step instructions for use. I was so impressed with this canner that I bought another one for my daughter. Perfect for beginners and people just starting canning.

I bought my canner just over a month ago. it has had problems from the start. the seal it came with doesnt seem to seal properly and it drips. I Pulled out all my items and had my 4 lbs of ground beef and 4 lbs of ham ready to go, had my water boiling on the stove, and my broth for My ham.. my jars are washed And ready to cycle... I move my canner onto My countertop to start warming jars and adding food.... and my stupid new canner just beeps at Me, the screen is blank/no lights, and it wont reset. it seems to be not working at all. I am very frusterated with this. I have used it maybe 3 or 4 times, and purchased it on the recomendation of the Rose Red Homestead show. It Has turned out to be very frusterating and I worry It is dangerous. Now, it wont turn on at all. What a waste of money.

I had used the old pressure canner and had a gas stove. I was so frustrated using it because you basically had to babysit the pot and watch the temp. Guage that it did not drop below or go too high above the temp. need to can. This canner takes all the Hassel away and makes canning fun and a pleasure to do. I have taught 2 friends how to can and this canner is the way to go. I remember when I first started to can we did not have much money so the old canner and our big garden kept our cupboards full. this canner is making my work so much easier because it is automatic and prompt you through the process. I am so happy with the 17 quart Presto Precise! I have had some health setbacks, so it took me awhile before I could fully appreciate how awesome this canner is! I have enjoyed using the 12 quart since it came out, so was eager to try the new 17 quart. The directions in the quick start guide are very easy to follow. I always keep it handy when canning. Have now used the 17 quart both for water bath canning and pressure canning. It has worked smoothly with no issues. I like how quiet it is during processing. There is no more wondering if the weight is rocking at the right rate or adjusting the flame on my stove. For my first canner-full, I made tomato sauce, and let me tell you it was a game changer to get so much done in one batch! All my jars sealed within minutes of taking them out of the canner. I am very impressed and pleased with how well the canner is working out for me !

Love the Presto Digital!!! This year has been my 4th canning season using this canner and I love the ease of use with the Presto Digital. Easy to follow along instructions and it's just the right size for almost all of my canning needs. I'm a senior and found the my other canners were heavy to lift, with the Presto Digital I don't have to worry about that - plus I don't have to "babysit" the canner to make sure in maintains pressure if pressure canning. Love that it does both water bath and pressure canning. It takes up little space on my shelf compared to the other canners I have. My only complaint is, being in Canada it isn't covered by any warranties. Thankfully I have not had a speck of trouble with my canner through the 4 seasons I've used it - but to not have any warranties was somewhat alarming for a product of this price. Other American companies offer warranties. I hope continued years of use with this wonderful canner since I use it so much!!

I’ve had my Presto digital pressure canner 12quart for a little over a week and have canned: potatoes, pork, beef and chicken. This is my first digital canner and I absolutely LOVE it! I moved to a house that has an electric stovetop so I haven’t been able to can for a couple years now I’m happy to say I’m happily canning again. This is a game changer.

For some reason the regulator continually let steam out but still counted down for red peppers. It didn’t do that for the tomatoes or the meat. I thought it was just regulating for temperature control and did count down in “canning” mode after a while. But now I’m back to canning tomato’s and the regulator is letting steam out after the pressure valve went up for more than 30 minutes. It’s not counting down and no error code. Some of the black coating has been coming off the bottom and corners when I wash it but it is still black and looks ok. But could that be why the regulator keeps letting steam out. I’m at a loss. I will shut it down and clean the regulator. Could it be something else? Jane

Double check to see if you pushed the advance arrow on your canner. There could be something wrong with your regulator instead. We'll talk to you about the peeling pot as well. Regardless, call us. My husband bought this for me less than a year ago I have used it less than a hand full of times and it doesn't work properly all of a sudden. Would love to get a replacement in hopes that one works like it should.
