I love it didn’t have to do lots of clean with the double tray

When registering the product, it sent me straight to a review. It was packaged well, and resembles the photo from the website and box. I just washed the parts and they're drying, as expected. The experience so far has been five-star.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found I haven't needed the double dish components like I thought I would but the nice thing with this one is that even without them it's a GREAT crockpot. If using the inserts you still need to add water to the main pot - not a big deal but you don't want to forget. Overall it's a great cooker and I like having the option to make two smaller dishes. The lid does just sit on top of the crockpot and doesn't lock so it doesn't work well for traveling. All in all, works great and has been easy to clean. :)

We replaced our old cooker with this and my wife cant stop gushing about how she can cook 2 things at the same time. In Indian cooking, cooking rice with a slow curry is literally a life saver. Once the cooking is done, you can leave it at the warm setting to ensure the meal doesnt get cold. The only issue i have with this is that there is no indication light. I mean, is it ok, is it working? I should not have to touch the product to find that out.

This Proctor Silex 6 quartdouble dish slow cooker is amazing. I can cook two different dishes at once and not have to worry. It is easy to use and easy to clean. It can be stored, no problem.

I have found it to work three ways- using both inserts, using one insert, and using it without the inserts (just the crock). When using the inserts, it’s important to keep in mind that the crock is also required, and water needs to be added between the crock and inserts to ensure proper cooking of food. The manual said between two and three cups of water is required; I found two to be more than plenty as my inserts were floating with two cups of water. I left the two cups in and rearranged the inserts after I put my food in, as the water from the crock will deplete- it will evaporate, hit the lid, and fall into the cooking food. I found that with the inserts, it works best for cooking food and not as well for things like slow-cooker cakes, etc. It also needs a bit more time if I use cold water in the crock, as that needs to heat up before the food will start heating (I recommend pouring in hot tap water to give a head start). The nonstick coating on the inserts cleans easily and the whole thing is a breeze to wipe down at the end. Overall, a good investment!

You can cook a whole meal like you normally do or make a smaller dish or even two different side dishes. If you decide to uses the 2 side dish pans that come with this slow cooker, you will need to put water in the slow cooker itself to prevent food from being unevenly heated/cooked or even damage to the slow cooker. The slow cooker has 3 easy settings. My kids even learned how to cook using this slow cooker as they love Buffalo chicken dip so this gets frequently used for that dish. This slow cooker is also great for parties as I can use the smaller side dish options to keep more food choices warm. The options on what to cook next are endless!

I love being able to prepare 2 things at once. I normally don't cook large meals so this is perfect. It is good quality and it is dishwasher safe. I like this slow cooker because I could make 2 different things and take the containers out and use the large one to make a main dish. I like how it is designed. The handles on the side make it easy to move while it is cooking. I really like that it has a keep warm feature as well as the Low and High settings. The 2 containers are nonstick which is a plus. It's easy to clean and comes with easy to read instructions. The only thing is I wish the cord was a little longer. I would recommend it.

My favorite feature of this thought is the fact to make two items at once. I am vegetarian and my bf eats meat: this is an amazing way to be able to make something for both of us and not have to do any extra work. Which I love. I would highly recommend.

The pot is big enough to make a big enough portion for a family, and it cooks food at a decent pace as well. I like the option of using the two side item trays or just being able to use the main pot for meals, this has made me cooking time a lot easier!

I have a family of six and this slow cooker is now a part of the family too. Although, I am still learning new recipes to use in it, all the meals so far have been a success. This slow cooker is super easy and doesn't include all those confusing functions. I especially like that I can actually make one big meal or 2 small meals in the double dish inserts, and I don't need to stand over watching it making sure food doesn't stick or overcook. Using it can be an absolute treat. I am not Italian, but envision my pasta on one side and meat sauce on the other rather than all mixed up which would make pasta too mushy. I might say "Ahhhh, just like Mama makes." No insult to Italian mothers, fathers or other such chefs of Italian cuisine, but this is a lot better than dumping different things altogether and having them sit like that. I like to think that good tools like the double slow cooker plus good ingredients make for special food and nice times with family. Beyond that, this is a good slow cooker, from a good brand, seems well made, has good design, looks good, sized well, materials seem of good quality, and it seems to get the job done. Worth a try.
