I only used the slow cooker about 8 times since I received it in February. The power lights go on, so it is getting power, but it will not heat up. I tried to contact the manufacturer but was not able to get an email address and the phone # just says to email. $40 wasted.

The first time I used the slow cooker it took about an hour to warm up/get completely hot. But once it got hot it started cooking . The dial timer stayed on 6 hours it never went to completely 1 hour left to cook. It never changed to warm. But for the price I hope it last for at least a year. I won’t purchase this one again. The outside of the pot gets extremely hot. Be careful and don’t touch or you will get burned.

I love this brand as opposed to the 2 original that were giving to me, because of the weight. Not only is it a much lighter cooker, it's also a much more reliable cooker as far as everything being done at one time.

Unfortunately this slow cooker cooks way faster than any slow cooker I ever had. I wouldn’t go off and leave this on even using the timer. I fixed pork chops today and had to turn it down to low after 1 hour. Really seems to run hot and all liquids evaporate. Never had this problem before with a slow cooker. Wouldn’t recommend it.

When the time cooking is completed, it automatically switches to warming. It is easy to clean and looks great on my counter.

I have been using several Hamilton Beach small appliances for many years now and when they finally give out, I buy another Hamilton Beach. It's a tried and true brand, reliable and affordable. Just upgraded from a 4 quart slow cooker to a new 6 quart. Can't wait to use it. I just wish they would include a little recipe booklet like they used to do back in the day.
