Description

This carton of Vital Farms Pasture-Raised Eggs holds 12 Large, Brown, Grade A Certified Humane eggs that come from our collection of small family farms to give you a protein-packed meal.
Vital Farms Eggs begin with pasture-raised hens who enjoy a minimum of 108 square feet each of room to roam on small family farms. Our girls have the freedom to forage for local grasses, succulents and wildflowers on rotated pastures while enjoying fresh air and sunshine. Vital Farms began as a single-family farm. As we grew, we didn’t make our farm bigger – we found more like-minded farmers who put the welfare of their feathered friends first. Today, we work with over 350 small family farms who give the girls the outdoor lifestyle they deserve.

I got these curbside pickup and based on the hardness of the egg residue, they’ve been broken for quite a while.

I don't need to say which eggs are Vital Farms in the photo. The eggs on the right just even look so much healthier with the orangey color; and are so much more flavorful. The size of the eggs is actually large like all large eggs used to be. The other eggs are also pasture-raised.

I had one broken egg in my pick-up order, and they are expensive! I love the product, but they were careless in choosing my item.

I like this brand. The egg has a bright yolk indicating a healthy diet for the chicken and therefore for me too.

These eggs always hit the mark

There was once a time when you didn’t have to write reviews on eggs. There was a time when you could look at the carton, read it, & know exactly what you were getting & what you find when you cracked open that first egg. Unfortunately we are living in different times. I have seen companies I love & trust- companies I’ve been buying eggs from for years- start sending out subpar eggs. I don’t spend $7 for only a brown shell. I spend $7 for whats inside the shell. If I’m spending $7+ on eggs- they better be the best dang eggs. They better not taste the same as the $2 white eggs, or else I might as well spend $2. All this to say that as of this moment, VitalFarms is the only company I can trust. Through this egg fiasco, they have consistently put out GREAT eggs with no price increase & no lack in quality. When you pay $7 for eggs you are getting $7 eggs! The yolks are orange, they’ve always been orange & they’re still orange. They taste the same as they tasted 5 years ago. Thank you VitalFarms for staying consistent! I look forward to your eggs & the consistency & reliability they bring in this unstable time. It really is the small things in life. You have made me a lifelong customer.

My eggs were broken! They usually do a very good job with drive up orders so it was my mistake for not checking them. Unfortunately this app doesn't give you the opportunity to report an issue on this item. Always double check your eggs!! Lesson learned

These used to be my go to brand of eggs until they started tasting and smelling weird lately. No clue what happened or if it's not being properly stored during shipment to stores. Scared to consume any more from them in case I get poisoned, especially with the shortage/recalls going on lately.

Hi M, We are sorry to hear this happened and assure you this is absolutely not a typical Vital Farms experience. We do our best to prevent concerns like this and I appreciate you reaching out to let us know. Please send us an email at info@vitalfarms.com so that we can make this right.

Our favorite brand. The yolks are bigger and are deeper richer color than other eggs. They taste much better too and are very fresh. You will not be disappointed. Definitely worth it. Side note: Love that you can you watch the specific farm that produced the carton online - the name is stamped onto the carton. You can see what the farm actually looks like and the hens roaming around.

Changed their feed

They put corn in their feed now not paying these prices for that quality.
1 reply from Vital Farms team team - 2 months ago
Hi LL, Thanks for your feedback. We can assure you that nothing about our feed has changed. While other egg producers won't share what's in their "custom blend" supplemental feed, we're very transparent about what our hens eat on our website's FAQ page so you can make the best food decisions for yourself and your family. Vital Farms hens spend their days foraging in the pastures, seeking out native and seasonal grasses like clover, rye, and wild onion. They don’t stop with plants, though. You’ll often catch our girls munching on a grasshopper or snacking on a worm. Alongside the food they forage, our girls receive supplemental feed. The supplemental feed consists primarily of corn and soybean meal, which the hens need for protein, as well as additional natural ingredients including paprika and marigold, which, along with their outdoor snacks, help the hens produce eggs with deep orange yolks that our consumers prefer. Our supplemental feed is developed by an animal nutritionist, ensuring the girls receive all the nutrients they need to support their health, active lifestyles, and overall well-being.

Price gouged with no explanation
1 reply from Vital Farms team team - 2 months ago
Hi there! Thanks for checking in. We believe our price reflects the great amount of care and hard work from our farmers that goes into raising their hens humanely. There are extra costs associated with keeping our barn doors open year-round (especially in the cooler winter months when the barns have to be heated), feeding the girls the right supplemental feed and so much more. We offer 3 different varieties of eggs in hopes that our products will be more accessible to you. We've also noted that egg prices are currently fluctuating across the country due to low industry inventory caused by Avian Influenza. Our retailer partners set the final pricing that you see on shelf. We recommend speaking with your local store's management to find out more about recent changes in pricing.

If you’re reading this comment, please educate yourself on the current H5N1 BIRD FLU crisis happening now. this is the reason for price gouging and also empty shelves for eggs and some other products. please stay safe and educate yourself.

Not too long ago it was $7. Then $11 for eggs, which is already too much. How did they increase the price AGAIN TO $14???? That's unacceptable, so I won't support this company. I won't buy these eggs anymore.
