Description
Improve your gum health up to 100% better than a manual toothbrush with the ProtectiveClean 5100 rechargeable electric toothbrush. It has a pressure sensor that protects teeth and gums from excess brushing pressure. Brush heads wear out over time. Our BrushSync technology tracks how long you have been using your Optimal Gum Care brush head and how hard you have been brushing. Your electric toothbrush will beep to inform you when to replace your brush head. Customize your own brushing experience with your choice of 3 modes: Clean, White and Gum Care. The easy-start feature slowly increases the power of the brush as you get used to the Sonicare experience and the smartimer encourages a full 2 minutes brushing time as recommended by your dental professional. The battery charge indicator light lets you know when it is time recharge; 2 week battery life. The kit includes 1 ProtectiveClean 5100 handle, 1 Optimal Gum Care brush head, 1 charger, 1 travel case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My prior Sonicare lasted a bit over 20 years ... AMAZING!!! So, when the battery would no longer charge there was no question what make of electric toothbrush I would be buying. But now, 20+ years since my last Sonicare purchase, there were so many models to choose from. I opted for the 5100 as it seemed to be the one that maximized the options important to me. I've been using the 5100 for ~6 months now ... so far so good. However, I immediately noted their difference in apparent sturdiness ... the retired Elite e-series Sonicare was a solid workhorse ... the 5100 appears much more fragile, only time will tell.

Phillips sonicare tooth brushes are NOT what they used to be. The last 3 I've bought have all broken right after the warranty is up. The first sonicare I owned was great and lasted several years. Not anymore!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use to use a regular toothbrush, but decided to try this. I'm so glad I did. So easy to use and the outcome is wonderful. My teeth are cleaner, feel cleaner; there is no denying this. My gums are stronger and I had a great check-up with my dentist.
Excellent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My teeth have never felt cleaner! This is as close to a dentist office clean I have had with any of the Sonicare tooth brushes.
Highly recommend, better than the 4100 series.

I purchased this for myself and use it everyday. This brush is obnoxiously LOUD! Lois and the vibrations are not consistent. I wish it wasn’t so loud.
Too slim, like Elite handle & brush better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like my Sonicare Elite MUCH better. Wish you hadn't discontinued it. This review sucks; every "Nickname" I try says "already taken". Guess you don't really want reviews, huh?

Saved My Teeth

This toothbrush literally saved my teeth. I never had good dental practices while I was younger and have bad enamel. Because of this I had cavities every year. As many as 5 at times. I switched to sonicare 5 years ago and have not had a cavity since. If you need a good brush this is a life saver. I have moved several times the last 2 years and wasn't able to get my cleanings done. Went in last weekend, guess what? Still no cavities and my dentist said all looked well. Get this brush for sure.

Got the pretty blue target exclusive one. 2 weeks in the rubber connector between the handle and brush head came loose so the brush makes a loud rattling noise and has no vibration power to clean teeth properly. Phillips sent a replacement and within 6 months this one is rattling too + there's mold embedded in the rubber connector despite taking the brush head off to dry between use. I'm pretty careful with taking the head on and off + don't brush hard (the sensor that tells you when you're brushing too hard is maybe one of the only good things about this brush). Switching to oral-b because this is terrible quality for an $80 toothbrush. Also, will not be buying from target as they carry poor quality products and do not support DEI initiatives. Mediocre products for mediocre people!
Great Toothbrush with just enough features for us!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our new Sonicare 5300 toothbrush! I believe our old toothbrush was one of the first toothbrushes our dentist recommended. That was a very long time ago - 30+years ago. We didn’t want a new toothbrush that had too many settings. This one is just perfect for us & we’re so pleased with it!
