My 4 and 5 year old boys loved this toy! It was their first introduction to circuits and they found it so fascinating.
So much fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old needed very little assistance with this which I appreciated. At first it was a little hard to get him to stick with it, but once we had everything set up and he saw he could use a power 'tool' by himself he was sold. I specifically liked that the pieces were numbered which made finishing the missions easier. There are several missions which makes it a toy that can be used several times rather than a one and done experience. I think it would make a great gift for a curious child who enjoys building things. My 5 year old took great pride in knowing that he made the lights light up, etc. An excellent introduction to STEAM!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this design and drill kit was so fun! I have a STEM background and had taken a robotics and electrical courses in my under grad so I like getting this kind of stuff for my children. My 7 year old put this together and he said it was a lot of fun, it was great watching him work on it. I like how it came with so many different cards so my son could keep working and doing different designs. I wish the cards would have been made out of plastic instead of paper so they would be more durable, because a few of them got bent up. I think it was a good size so it could fit right in his lap or he could set it on the table and still work well. It came with plenty of parts and a Guide to help him understand everything. He pretty much went though everything by himself so its great for kids to follow along with. We have a few drill type toys but nothing that is electrical or has circuits like this. This is definitely not a use once toy and forget about, my toddler even liked helping her big brother put it together. This is a really great toy, educational, simple enough for a child to do but still challenging so they have to think about it. I will be looking for an item like this the next time we need a gift for a birthday party.
Great for starters

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old was super excited to try this out. He loved seeing the cards and working the circuits. He also loves using drills so this kept him entertained for a while. We felt like he did a great job following the diagrams and we were there if he needed help or instructions read.
Great quality toy with lots of educational value!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is 9 and has autism. He loves building toys and has played with "snap circuits" before at school, so I was hoping this toy would engage him at home. It definitely did! The activity cards helped him get started, but I soon found him building his own circuits without the cards. He absolutely loves the working drill! The best part is the drill is pretty quiet, not loud like I was expecting to be. (That's a huge plus for me as noisy toys drive me crazy.) The little interactive parts like light, fan and alarm were so cool and made this toy even more engaging. I think this toy would be perfect starting around age 5 or 6, but older kids (and adults) will have fun with it as well!
They loved using hands on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent beginning circuit set to stimulate little minds and teach basic DC circuit concepts. My nephew liked the diagrams on the cards and are excited when they get it working. It has various missions and etc. My nephews and I enjoyed working through it. The battery powered driver does not have enough torque to fully seat the screws. Overall it's a good product and teaches the concept of how it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the concept of this toy to be brilliant. However, the instructions were hard to follow and therefore limited the potential for this toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My six year old loves this toy and the best part is that it is educational. My three year old also loves drilling the screws in even though she is too young for the circuits. We have incorporated it into our homeschool lessons. I would definitely recommend it to moms looking for an educational toy for their child.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 9 year old son has snap circuits sets and even though this is designed for younger children, he really loved it, because of the drill! I love that it is simple enough for my 5 year old and 7 year old to use as well. A couple of design flaws are... really small text- I assume that the pictures are meant for children (pre-readers) and the text is for adults, but since you kind of need to read some of it to get started, it would be nice if they did larger text than an early reader could at least try to read on their own. Also, we had trouble with Mission 4- we could not figure out how to assemble it. So I am not sure if that is a misprint or if we are just missing something, but it does make me wonder if there are other errors (we haven't completed all the missions yet) Overall, this is a fun gift and an educational toy. If your kids are too young for Snap Circuits this is a great introduction to the same electrical concepts, and with an engaging storyline to go along with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have nothing but good things to say about this little set. My 7 year old absolutely loves all things stem, he did not put it down and had an absolute blast. My 4 year old joined my older son who showed him how to build circuits. They played together so well and worked together great, which never happens. It's so fun for all ages I even enjoyed experimenting and building the circuits. A stem must have for all households.
