Q: Can this go on a keychain?
submitted by Mom Who Recycles - 6 months ago
A: You can buy cases for it that are able to go on a keychain, but this is quite a bit larger than a tamagotchi

Punirunes is an adorable and original virtual pet that takes the whole concept of user interaction with their pet to another level! The squishy button inside the device functions as a pad which can be used to pet your punirunes, play games with them and also taking care of them. Just be careful to always wash your hands and keep them clean when interacting with the pad because it's silicone and dirt will get stuck on it if your hands are dirty. I also love the evolution tree and all the posible combinations you can do with the mix materials. The animations are beautiful and cute for every punirune, the sound is also very high quality and has cute sound effects. The screen also is very bright and big enough so you can watch the gorgeous colours with detail! As for the size, I have big hands, and it totally fills my handful and feels very nice to hold. An excellent virtual pet overall perfect for kids and adult fans of virtual pets, I hope new versions release worldwide soon!
Love it.

Love mine. I’m an adult who loves digital pets and I really enjoy the punirunes. Haven’t had a battery issue like the other reviewers. I can play consistently for over a week on a pair of AA Duracell batteries. I still would look into rechargeable batteries for this, especially if you feel like you’re going to encounter this problem. You must be playing with the sound and brightness on full blast to have it drain so quickly. I personally keep the brightness/sound at a more comfortable level and it keeps the battery life longer.
Waste of money

My daughter is really disappointed because the batteries are used no longer than 6 hours. I changed that for a changed battery and we had the same problem.

I wish I could give it zero stars. It needs batteries which is fine. The problem is getting the screw off ti out batteries in. We tried multiple screw drivers, nothing would get the back off. Honestly it didn’t need to even be screwed in, especially to the point it was impossible to open. We ended up breaking the back off to be able to even get to the battery compartment. I’m not sure if I brought a defective item or what but as soon as the snow melts it’s going back to the store.
We love it!

This virtual pet is adorable. The tactile aspect is pretty cool too. It has unique things that I haven't seen in a virtual pet in may years - like cooking. It's been a lot of fun to play with, even as I am adult, and I keep coming back to it.
Good toy, terrible battery life

My daughter really likes this toy but literally the batteries last 2 days. Honestly it’s not worth it now going through batteries like it is. I don’t recommend buying this but will say it’s a decent toy. I will try rechargeable batteries.
Battery eater.

This was the hit Christmas present this year. Youngest has been playing with it constantly. It seems much better value than a tamagotchi, with games and things to collect, and she loves petting it. My main complaint is the ridiculous battery life. The ones it came with didn’t last the day, we replaced with rechargeable ones but those went after about 5 hours. Same for Energiser ones, however the battery checker said there was still plenty of charge left, so seems to be an issue with the Punirune.
Fun toy for a wide age range

My daughter got this for Christmas, and she loves it. It’s a more interactive and fun type of tamagotchi. It seems like it’s good quality and really fun.

My daughter got it as a Christmas present. We love it ! It’s very cute and fun to play with, however, the batteries can’t last for a day. I thought it could be just the batteries that it comes with, however even we change brand new batteries that usually last forever , i changed it yesterday evening, and today morning it already shows batteries low. I spend way more money changing batteries daily than the toy it worths. It’s 2024 soon to be 2025, sell it a little bit higher price but make it rechargeable please. Make life easier.
Super fun (not sponsored)!

If I could I would give it 0 stars. Bought for my daughter for Christmas and put the batteries in and it’s completely frozen. Can’t get it to do anything. Tried different batteries and the same thing, can’t even put the date and time in to play with it. Now I have a dissapointed child on Christmas Day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great little gift, this was originally for my daughter but my son has enjoyed playing with it too. So many features included, look after and grow your own pet by feeding, bathing and giving attention. Love the added feature of using the finger to feel and interact too, the inside feels like a squishy effect as though you are touching the pet yourself and shows on screen. Really cute feature. The selection of games included is good too. Auto shuts off into sleep mode when it gets to nightime aswell. Would make an ideal gift for xmas!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son really loves his little pet and keeps them on his bedside table. The unique feature of being able to touch your creature is really fun. Strange sensation but my son loves it! Easy to use and simple 3 buttons. Battery life could be better but we invested in some better batteries. Would be a lot better if it was rechargeable though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great game. My daughter love it. She play with it everyday from the moment she received it. She especially love how much this game is interactive, she can use her finger to play with her pets. Good to learn child how to take care of animal. Good made, looks durable. Hard to say how long battery will last at that point, but she use it already for one month and game still works.
Great and wonderful Virtual pet

I'm so relieved that this pet doesn't actually die. It has mini games that are entertaining and it's easy to earn coins to spend for your pet! It's a great stress reliever and what a virtual pet really should be. I hope and wish for more and different kinds of English version of virtual pets to come!! I do hope however that there's an option where the screen can just stay on, so it'll be like a desktop pet that also displays the date and time. Overall though, it's great! I love it!! Thank you SpinMaster!! (please bring more virtual pets in English version ^_^)
