A: Hi Sonadora, Thank you for your question! The ionizer of the PureZone Elite 4-in-1 True HEPA Air Purifier can be turned on/off. Its use is optional to emit negative ions into the air to clean it. The UV carbon light filter destroys germs and fungi and it can be turned on/off as desired, as well. Although, it is barely visible when in use. Q: Hello. 3 questions. Is this good for living rooms of medium size apartment? Also is there a function and is it recommended to keep it on 24/7? Also, how often does the filter have to be changed?

This air filter has made a big improvement to the quality of the air in my home. I can feel it in my eyes especially and the air even looks more clear, only issue I have is I will probably need a few more. My home is two story and vaulted on both sides. I have been carrying it up and down stairs as needed. It had a convenient handle so this is easy but will eventually buy another.

Love this purifier! It filters the air and refreshes the air very quickly. We have a great room that is 18 'x 20' so we put it on high when getting rid of allergens. We have both a dog and cat. We sometimes take it into the bedroom and put it on a lower setting. which is perfect for sleeping, And great for masking unwanted sounds. I do cover the tiny blue lights at night because I like it very dark. Good value for the money as long as the filters stay a reasonable price. I researched a lot of purifiers and I am happy with this one!

Very quiet unit and seems to work well. I feel like I sleep better at night when I run it. I'm giving it only 4 stars because I wish it had a handle like the mini purifier. I have arthritis in my hands and it is hard for me to pick it up and move it. Secondly, I would like more explicit information on using the ion option. What is it's purpose, is it necessary to use it all the time, etc? More info would be helpful.
