A: Yes! It is very sensitive to smoke and works wonderfully! You can see the monitor change as it senses what's in the air, letting you see how well it works.

A: We would like to let you know the Shark® Air Purifier is equipped with a 3-stage HEPA filter that is designed to capture 99.98% of particles down to the 0.1–0.2 micron range, plus odors and VOCs. The cylindrical structure pulls air through the back and sides of the unit and passes it through the HEPA filter. Particles such as smoke, mold, and allergens are then trapped in the HEPA filter, allowing only clean air to be passed through the top vents.

This is the worst air purifier I've ever bought soon as I plugged in and it gave me 100% reading with brand new furniture that I wasn't even able to sleep in the room because the fumes were so strong still read 100% after an hour, and the fumes were still strong Did absolutely nothing. I also sprayed some air. Febreze didn't detect it and still read 100 I also shook out a dusty broom right next to it and still 100% returning this piece of garbage.

It’s hard to say if this air purifier even works or does anything. It’s definitely not for smoke (doesn’t make any difference for non tobacco smoke so I can’t imagine it does anything for tobacco) and I know it doesn’t advertise for this or anything but it’s kind annoying that it doesn’t have a remote or anything. The light is super bright and yes, it can be dimmed and turned off but it’d be nice to have a remote. I have a Dyson and some Holmes HEPA filter purifiers too and there is definitely a noticeable difference between when those are running vs this one. I’ll be returning it.

I bought two more after receiving one for Christmas. I live on a dirt road and have two shedding dogs. I found having just one in our open area to save me from constant dusting and vacuuming. The two i recently purchased are in bedrooms and same great effect!!

While the air purifier itself is alright, getting the replacement filter is a nightmare. Always out of stock. Don’t recommend this product because you can’t get a filter, which makes it a product that does not work. Either have replacements available or make them filters that can be cleaned and reused. So as of now, I have 4 non useful expensive “air purifiers” that aren’t purifying jack because shark doesn’t have replacement filters. Would NOT recommend.

Instantly smells so fresh, I have it in the bedroom and it catches bad air from across the house. People on here have been saying they are out of replacement filters, which is true.. but I looked on ebay and Amazon and they sell filters for cheap and says it indeed fits this purifier. I have yet to try but thought I'd let yall know!

Plugged it in and it was at 50% said about an hour to filter everything out. Been about 24 and now it’s at 10%?!? I haven’t done anything different from then to now. This thing is a joke for the price

Was bought as a present for our family that's sensitive to the terrible air quality in our area, and was great for the first 2 years. Now, I haven't seen a time they have the replacement filters in stock available. Will have to find another purifier that actually carries inventory of it's replacement filters. The purifier we have has been gathering dust in our family room for over a year, since the filter was indicated to be full.

I absolutely love this air purifier! I was impressed yet skeptical that it called out "Power for Pet Owners", but this air purifier has exceeded my expectations. It does a great job of keeping odors at bay in my home office, which also houses the litter box. In addition, I love that I can tell what the clean air level is. The filter is also extremely easy to change. I would absolutely recommend this in the future!

Zero Stars ! I am so glade that I decided to return the shark air (questionable) purifier before the return period had lapsed. From the first day, until I decided to return it, the indicator light, that tells you the air quality stayed at 100%, indicating no dust, no allergens, I presumes. No Way !! I have a dog, and my carpet is in need of a deep cleaning. Many reviews stated that the air quality indicator, seemed incorrect. I believe that this is a quality control issue and I believe that Shark is aware of it. Zero, for me.

I just bought this and so far it’s fine. I’ve noticed the air hasn’t been stale and it’s super quiet. But I’m skeptical of the air quality percentage. When I first used it, it started at 86% and after checking it in the morning, it went up to 99%. Last night when I turned it on after coming home from work, the air quality was around 84%. When I checked on it this morning, it went down to 75%. It ran all night long so I’m not sure why the air quality decreased. But the air feels fresher so I’m on the fence on whether to return this.
