The bristles are really long and whispy, where I prefer a more densely packed brush to apply my base. Might work better for powder foundations.

It’s versatile enough to use for foundation application and precise enough to apply cream blush. It is very soft which could make applying very firm cream products a little harder but so far I haven’t had any issue. For the price point, I definitely recommend!

It was super soft and even when trying it with liquid or powder foundation it was smearing it and not blending. I loved the color and the way it felt holding the brush but it just didn't work for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brush is nice quality and big, however I was hoping the ends of the brushes would be stiffer and not spread out as much when I press it on my face. The brush is almost too soft if that makes sense, so it’s kind of hard to blend my makeup with it. I feel like the hairs are too long maybe also? It’s hard to explain. Not my favorite.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This brush has been a great addition to my makeup routine. The large bristles provide sheer coverage and a smooth finish. I found it worked really well with my Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter foundation, which has always been a little tricky to disperse evenly when I use a makeup sponge or apply with my fingers. One downside I noticed is that some of the bristles started falling out after a couple of uses. This shedding could potentially affect the brush's longevity, which is a bit disappointing given how well it performs otherwise. Despite this, I would still recommend the Real Techniques XXL Stippling Brush given the effectiveness and ease of use with some of my favorite skin tint products (plus real techniques is quite affordable)!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate this brush. It sheds everywhere, and when used with liquid foundation as directed, the bristles all clump together. Applications is streaky and required a beauty blender on top. Threw the brush away after 2 uses.

However, in my opinion, the product is too big for practicality. If someone is specifically looking for a huge stippling brush then I recommend it but for an average user that just wants their solid collection of makeup brushes, this is unnecessary and I’d even go as far as to say unhelpful. I used it with liquids and powders since the packaging says it can be used for both. I applied my makeup with one half of my face using my fingers and the other half with this Real Techniques XXL Stippling Brush. There was no difference and I am positive my usual collection would do a much better job with both. I have a stippling brush from e.l.f. that’s normal sized that I just use for setting powder and I’m much happier with that – not because of quality but because of the practicality of size. You can’t be precise with this huge of a brush and it doesn’t even give an added benefit when compared to normal sized brushes in my opinion and experience. That being said, if anyone is LOOKING for a huge brush then this could work well for you. It’s good quality just unnecessary when there’s much better at a drug store for likely cheaper. I also just don’t understand how a huge stippling brush can be good for liquid products as well since it just makes streaks in my experience. A sponge is better than this.
