A: Hi there. As a temporary product, like facial make-up, this product sits on the surface of hair and can transfer to hands, clothing, and bed linens with direct contact. We recommend only using this product on your main part and around your face frame to avoid overloading your hair with product and limiting the opportunity for transfer. Any product that does transfer to clothing or bed linens can be washed away with detergent.

Q: How is it different than eyeshadow or eye/brow liner?

A: It’s not! If using eyeshadow you’ll want to make sure it’s good quality, not expensive, just make sure it’s consistency is thick (ie. when you use your finger and rub it on hand does it barely show?) & make sure it has no shimmer. Eye brow liner works as well & you can also use a disposable eye shadow applicator or a lash wand to apply.

For starters, I haven’t even tried the product so I can’t speak to that which I know sounds silly to write a review under those circumstances, however, I see tons of gold glitter within the dark brown powder. Why in the world would I want gold glitter in a root cover up? No glitter shown or advertised so it completely shocked me to see this tiny pan of brown glitter eyeshadow when I opened the compact. Brush is not dense so doubt it covers well anyways. All I can say positive about this item on first impression is I like the large mirror and I’ll be saving it if I end up tossing the pan and brush.

I’m pleasantly surprised with this product! I’m two weeks out from my hair appointment and was happy to find this solution to get me through until then. I got the Dark Brown. It doesn’t match the tone of the rest of my hair exactly, but it covered the grays and has lasted the whole work day. I like that it’s a compressed powder so I can travel easily with it.

I don’t understand how it worked so well for everyone. It is just a dark brown cheap eyeshadow in my opinion. The powder did not stick to my hair. I went over the same spot multiple times and it just colored my scalp so I could see why it works for those who are trying to conceal hair thinning. If I had known this is what it was I would have tried regular eye shadow first
