A: There isn’t a lid. There is a protective cover though. I purchased and stained 24” round pieces of wood to set on top as tabletops...and it works great!

A: It comes with a cover, but my cover began to rip after about a month. Now it is in tatters (after 6 months). I'm shopping for a 24" round top now, as I like this idea better than buying another cover (which will not last in the AZ sun!)
