Description
Root out the toughest weeds and grasses with Roundup® Dual Action Weed & Grass Killer Plus 4 Month Preventer with Sure Shot™ Wand. This formula kills existing weeds and grass down to the root, and prevents new weeds from growing for up to 4 months by creating an invisible barrier in the soil. Apply only where you want to kill existing weeds AND prevent future weed growth for up to 4 months, such as cracks and crevices in driveways, sidewalks, and patios, along fences, in mulched beds or around the base of well-established desirable plants, shrubs, or trees, and on gravel areas. In order to prevent new weeds and grasses from growing, you must spray the entire area you want to control, not just the emerged weeds. For best results, apply during warm, sunny weather above 60°F. Rain or watering 30 minutes after application will NOT wash away effectiveness. After application, weeds will begin to yellow and wilt within hours with complete kill in 1 to 2 weeks. All ornamental bedding plants (annuals and perennials), trees, shrubs, sod and seed can be planted 4 months after application. Roundup® Dual Action covers up to 300 sq. ft.

A: We apologize for any confusion created by the map on the product label. Roundup Dual Action Weed & Grass Killer Plus 4 Month Preventer is recommended for landscape and hardscape use. It should not be used to spot treat individual weeds in the lawn. It can damage/kill any green growing plant that it is sprayed on, including grasses. This product can be used to renovate (reseed) the lawn. Wait 4 months to seed or place sod after the last application of this product. We recommend either Roundup-Weed-Grass-Killer4 (note the version 4) or Roudup-Poison-Ivy-Tough-Brush-Killer2. Both are listed controls for Wild Blackberry. A: Roundup Dual Action Weed & Grass Killer Plus 4 Month Preventer can be used in landscape beds and around trees and shrubs but should not come in direct contact with wanted plants either through direct spray, drift or over-spray. Only apply around the base of well-established (at least 6 months) desirable plants, shrubs or trees. DO NOT USE in areas that will be planted or seeded within 4 months. If it does come in contact with wanted plants it should be washed off immediately. The longer it is on the plant the more likely damage is to occur to that plant.

I bought this last fall and didn't use it until today. It sprayed for 15 seconds made a click by the trigger and stopped. I changed batteries and still nothing. Ok no big deal. I bought a new one today and it did the same thing. Very disappointed

If it gets moved from the straight up position while in use it will not spray either at all or good depending on how much it is slanted. Did you turn the knob on the cap to the ON position. When fully in ON position, can feel knob click and the arrow on the knob will point to "ON". Check to ensure that cap is not broken. Turn the knob completely to one of the 3 on positions (spray pattern images on tip). If it is in between settings, it will not work correctly. If locked the trigger does not depress much. Worked to kill part of the weeds only will never buy again vinegar and salt worked better cheaper and not a chemical.

To get the best results plant leaves must be thoroughly and uniformly covered with the spray solution. If the weed is mature, no matter what weed, it will be more difficult to control. If the weed is not listed, this product may not control it. Some weeds, like weeds with a waxy surface, are more difficult to control. We want you to be confident in our products. I think the product itself works, but the pump doesn't. After a few uses, it stopped dispensing liquid. There's is more than half the container, batteries are still good. I hear it, but no round up. What a wait of money and product

Applied and the next day no weeds or grass were killed. This has happened to me with the cheaper white bottle version too. (Thought that if I spent more it would work better). I can appreciate the want being longer and having a shield from the toxic concoction.

Roundup's good product is let down by poor sprayer bottles. Leaking, dripping, and spitting issues make application frustrating. Switching product containers is necessary. Pump 'N Go is unreliable. Results are good, but hassle isn't worth it. Consider looking for alternative.

Works great until the sure shot wand dies! I've had 2 of these now, I always use the refills when it's empty. The product itself works great, but every time the batteries in the wand die, I change them & it never works right again. Brand new batteries, and it sprays super weak for about 30 seconds, then dies. Think I'll go back to the good old pump & spray models.

I used the product for about 1/2 hour and then the applicator wand stopped working. I tried to clear it by running under hot water and that did not work. So disappointed because I so wanted to kill the bermuda grass lurking in my front yard. So sad.

Works great, milled the weeds in about a day I’d say or less. It always does the job and they stay dead for basically all summer maybe another spray depending on how much weed you’d have but it works great for the basic weed coming out of the sidewalk etc.

When nighttime temperatures are in the 40's, results will slow dramatically, but the product will still work, it just may take 3-5 weeks. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Roundup has gotten a bad rap over the years but the key factor is use the proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), such as gloves and a mask to protect yourself from the spray and fumes. If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems.
