Roundup® For Lawns₁ is a ready-to-use tough weed killer for Northern grasses that kills weeds, roots and all (when used as directed), with up to 3 month weed control (as listed). This product kills 253 types of weeds (see inside booklet for weed list), including crabgrass, dandelion, clover, yellow nutsedge, poison ivy, chickweed, oxalis, and purslane. In addition, it starts working immediately and is rainproof in 3 hours. Roundup® For Lawns₁ is for use on Northern grasses, including Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Fescue spp. including Tall, Red, and Fine Leaf Fescues, and Zoysiagrass. For best results, apply this product to actively-growing weeds during the early growth stages. Use in the spring or fall when daytime temperatures are between 45°F and 90°F. The application was straightforward thanks to the convenient spray nozzle, which allowed for precise targeting of unwanted weeds without affecting my other plants. Within a few hours, I noticed the weeds starting to wilt, and by the next day, most of them were brown and clearly dying. It’s effective not just on weeds but also on tough grasses that often invade my garden beds. One application was enough to handle most of the problem areas, though a few particularly stubborn weeds required a second go. However, it’s essential to be cautious with this product, as it is potent and can harm desirable plants if not used carefully. I also recommend using it on a calm day to avoid wind drift. The chemical smell is noticeable but not overwhelming, and it dissipates relatively quickly

Tougher weeds like crab or dallas grass may require more than one application depending on how established they are. Would recommend for spot treatment of the majority of weeds without worrying about lawn damage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybe I waited too long, but this didn't kill the weeds at all. I used it several times, but the weeds didn't die. It is possible that you have to do it in the spring only before the weeds actually grow. Regardless, this was not worth my time and energy.

Weed death will take 14-28 days. If temperatures fell below 65°F or goes above 90°F weeds may become dormant which will slow the effects of the weed control. My only complaint was that it didn’t specify necessarily which ones it may or may not be good for or at least I didn’t grasp the good understanding of it however, it did not kill the grass that was supposed to be there

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This spray was not effective at removing or preventing weeds. I sprayed it generously and the weeds never even showed any signs of drying up. The only thing I liked was that the packaging had the automatic sprayer, but it doesn’t really make a difference if the product didn’t do anything.

Roundup For Lawns1 Ready-to-Use Refill (Northern) will control listed weeds when applied according to the label directions. If it rained or the area was watered before 3 hours the application could be less effective. For the best results, do not irrigate or water the turf grass within 24 hours after the application. If dry conditions exist, schedule irrigation or water 24 hours before and 24 hours after application is recommended. The healthier and better the weeds are growing the easier they are to kill as they will more readily take in the herbicide. If temperatures fell below 65°F or goes above 90°F weeds may become dormant which will slow the effects of the weed control. Even though the label says the product can be applied between 45-90°F that does not mean that all weeds can be killed if temperatures remain that cool/hot for periods of time. Most target broadleaf weeds are not actively growing at temperatures below 65°F. Many of the target grassy weeds are actively growing when temperatures are above 45°F. To avoid damage do not apply to bermudagrass if temperatures are over 85°F. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. I would definitely spend the money on this product. after about 5 days the weeds were almost dry but it didn't damage my lawn so I think it's good for the environment and doesn't have any negative effects on the plants around the treated area. The bottle is small and in a durable plastic jug and love that it already has a sprayer on it! it’s easy to carry and the smell is light and doesn't bother people. I will be buying more to get rid of all the weeds around my house.

I feel like they could have just given me water in a container and it would have had the same effect on the weeds. (Maybe they did because this had no notable smell...) At least it followed through on its promise not to kill my grass? Save your money! Don't buy it.

If temperatures fell below 65°F or goes above 90°F weeds may become dormant which will slow the effects of the weed control. Do not mow 2 days before or 2 days after the application. I only use this to keep the weeds from growing along the house and in other small areas near my driveway. It is easy to use and works quickly. It keeps the weeds out for the summer.
