Verry Nice TV for the money, i actually had the 2018 version same model but someone decided to punch the TV , but that's a different story. Anyway I was glad this was on sale because way back when it was very expensive. it was simple set up but i was used to the non Tizen operating system, but it seems a little quicker and it has more apps, i was just used to the old menu plain jane on the bottom. It is just something I will have to get used to. But it is great my old sound bar i connected it and it worked right away. the remote is much nicer and i downloaded Samsung SmartThings to my phone and some times use that to control the TV. I would recommend this tv .

RETURNED AFTER ONE NIGHT :: way to hard to log in or set up acct when Samsung started going down hill years ago I switched all my Samsung to another brand I buy a lot of tablets TV’s figured I would try a cheap tv to see if Samsungs over all experience was still the same it’s way worse now as a whole try something else first

The TV works as I expected. The picture is better than our old Samsung and the streaming services that we use work much better. However, in my opinion, the TV took too long and was too difficult to set up because of the many security steps. It took us about 3 hours and several facetime calls to our son-in-law for technical assistance to complete the setup. We are not concerned with TV security. We have no concerns that someone might learn what shows we are watching. In fact, despite all the security steps, we believe that information is being collected by the streaming services and our internet provider that we use and we don't care. What happened to the days when you buy a TV, bring it home, plug it in and it works? I suggest that Samsung develops an alternative setup process for those of us who are not concerned about TV security. I would appreciate a response from Samsung to my review.

The size of the Samsung is just perfect and was easy to hook up. It took me some exploration to get use to settings but it's been 7 years since my last that was a smaller Samsung. Bought for a Christmas present. So far, everything that I've viewed (best with sports like football, and nature documentary) has exceeded my expectations. Blu-Ray movies (via a separate Blu-Ray player) are great. However - there is one item that truly doesn't meet the standards above. THE REMOTE. So far, I've experienced less than stellar use. Dish doesn't have the remote in the list. I've had to change the battery 6x in over a month. Sometimes the volume works, other times NOT. Sometimes the tv will turn on, sometimes NOT. Except for the lame remote, I'd give 5 stars.

The only problem I have is with the remote. It has buttons for 1 click to get to Netflix, Prime and Samsung TV. The issue is that when you press one of these, it doesn't always go directly there. Esp Samsung TV channels. It takes you to the home page and you have to press a few buttons and search for TV, or keep hitting the back button till it's goes to TV. Just a bit irritating.

Seen better bright room performance on older model

Poor brightness, you can't even see dark scenes in movies or TV shows. Ive tried all adjustments I couild figure out. Non-intuitive startup AND ADJUSTMENT SCREENS. Should be good right out of the box, but it's not.

In addition to the several picture modes on your TV, you may also want to try adjusting additional picture settings if your picture is not to your liking. You can go to Home > Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings and configure the TV settings to your taste with functions such as Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Color, Tint (G/R), and many more. We bought this just before Thanksgiving for a Christmas present. It remained in the factory box until 3 days before Christmas when it was set up and installed on a tv stand. Initially the picture was great and the set up went smooth. This is a secondary tv and we don’t watch much so it has not had a lot of use. On Jan 7th we noticed lines on the left side and middle of the screen. We have tried to complete support requests on the tv and on the Samsung website however they both fail. Extremely disappointed that this tv hasn’t even worked for 2 weeks!!
