Sharper Image Thunderbolt Stealth Drone

Liked it until it caught wind and flew away! My poor guy was so disappointed!

DO NOT BUY Just a few days after Christmas my son took his drone out. It took flight and lost connection to the remote. We never found it. He was so heartbroken.

Remote and drone would never pair. I thought about getting another one until I read all the other reviews.

I have ordered two of these drones and neither one work. I have called the number listed for help and of course it does not connect and the website is no help either. Will be returning them to target.

Christmas gift for my son. We took it to the park and once it reached a medium height, we weren’t able to bring it down. The only thing we could do is to stare at it as it kept going higher and higher until it disappeared. Disappointed because it only lasted 15 minutes until it was lost forever. Very little wind.

Fun little drone but had the same problem others here had-- caught a mild breeze and it flew up and away with controller unable to bring it back within a day. Actually came to the website thinking about buying a second one because maybe we just messed up and now see other people have experienced the same thing. Probably ideal for a big inside space or a huge field (and zero wind). Also battery life is 6 minutes (even says so in the instructions).

This was great for my 13 year old. He has had other drones in the past and could not fly them, or they would break easily. This he has learned to fly and do stunts. The blades are also well protected so they don't break easily.

We bought this for our son for Christmas and it flew away as soon as we took it outside. We read and followed the instructions, went through practice runs, and it flew away as soon as we took it outside. We saw it fly into the sky and were unable to find it.

The thing shot up and never came down even after we pushed down right away!! Like the button was broken. Gone now!! What a scam!!!!! Poor kid

First time my kid took it outside it went up about 15 ft he tried to bring it back down but the thing just kept going up and up and up and up and up until we could barely see it and never saw it again.

The wind blew it far away within the first hour, and there was nothing we could do. It wasn't even a super windy day, medium wind (no wind advisory).

Doesn’t seem to be working for us…used it one time for about 2 min. Then it just stopped pairing and hasn’t worked since.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive Sharper Image Thunderbolt Stealth Drone,I have wanted one to play with when My Grandkids come over. It was nicely packaged,and came with extra propellers,a remote control,and USB-c charging cable for the drone because it has LED lights,which makes using it at night,pretty cool. I expected it to be made of either durable plastic or metal,but I was surprised when I felt it was made of foam,I then thought this wasn't going to last long because it feels flimsy. We have used it a few times,so far,and it hasn't fallen apart,so we shall see how long it will last. I dont like the cord that's used to charge the drone,so you can use the led light because it's short. I do like the light though,makes the drone cool to use at night. The range and speed of the drone is good,and the battery life for the controller is good. My grandkids and their father have been enjoying this drone,and that makes me very happy. This would make for a great Christmas gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appears to be pretty durable and safe for my 8 year old it seem to perform nicely but it is a little touchy. The battery lasted for about fifteen minutes and then it just fell without warning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids absolutely loved playing with the drone, they loved that it had essentially 360° drive control options, so they could try doing tricks with it and chase eachother with it. It’s decently sized, which meant that it’s perfect for taking with us on vacation, but not so small that landing it is scary. It charges pretty quickly, and the battery power is good, definitely enough playing time for the both of them in just one charge. I love that the toy is safe to play with since it doesn’t go too fast, and it’s durable enough to land without fear that it will break during takeoff or landing. In fact, they ran into the tree branches a few times and it was perfectly fine. I love that this can be used by the entire family, or something the adults can watch the kids play with. I also love the detail put into this toy, it doesn’t look cheap or low quality. Overall, I highly recommend this drone to anyone with kids, teens, and honesty adults too. It’s a lot of fun to play with.
