A: Thanks for your interest in our Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Hair Masque. we recommend the following steps for the correct use of the product: section clean, wet hair. Apply generously. Use a wide tooth comb to distribute evenly from root to ends. Pay particular attention to hair ends. Leave in 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly - for deep penetrating treatment, cover hair with a plastic cap and apply moderate heat for up to 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Style as desired. When using a hair steamer do not cover hair, moist heat will add to masque's hydration. We hope this helps!

Q: (I have 1c hair) When I was 5 I had nice curls, at age five but somebody that didn't know how to cut curly hair, cut my hair. When my hair grew back it has no curls.Will this mask bring back my curls?

The hair masque formula has definitely changed! Have used this deep conditioner for many years. My hair has been fuzzy following every recent braid out. I thought my hair texture was changing but I tried Carol’s Daughters Goddess Conditioner and was finally able to accomplish a frizz-free braid out since July. I am done with Shea Moisture products because I have heard the rumors that they secretly alter the ingredients. Now I have experienced this.

Wow! This hair mask is amazing. I have wavy/curly hair that is more fine so the first time I used this hair mask I wasn't in love because I thought it made my hair oily. The second time I used it I applied less and thoroughly rinsed it out and my hair feels incredible! It feels so soft and silky which is impressive for a product containing no silicones and more natural ingredients. I highly recommend this and the scent is beautiful.

This was the very first hair mask I've ever used, and I can safely say that it's foolproof. It works so well that it can even be used as rinse out conditioner in a pinch! The scent felt clean and warm at the same time!

Disappointed because I've enjoyed this brand for years but today used this product and was met almost immediately with an itchy, puffy, red skin rash on my forehead which quickly spread to my scalp, ears, and nape of my neck after putting it on. When leaving it on for no more than 10 minutes, my scalp began to feel hot, not pleastantly warm, but similarly feeling to when you leave hair-dye on for too long. Showered it off immediately and everwhere it rinsed off of me (back, shoulders, etc) the same red, itchy rash appeared. Not sure if I got a bad batch but will not be repurchasing.

I have fine wavy 2b/2c hair. After using this once I have some 3a curls popping! My hair was just that dry. I didn’t style, just moisturized and let it sit for 30 mins as the directions stated. My hair is soft, smells good, and has more curl than it ever has. I’m so excited to continue using this!

I liked this products ability to shape my curls and give it nice moisturizing finish. The one thing I would say about this masque though is it leaves my hair a little greasy for some reason, but a spray of dry shampoo solves that.

This product was supposed be 12oz. I ordered online for drive up and I received 11.5oz of product instead of 12. When we're talking a half an ounce of product is of significant value. That's a few additional applications. I went on the Shea moisture website and the container in that photo clearly says 12oz. The product page on Targets website very clearly says 12oz, but they don't show it on the photo of the container. When you actually pick up the product it is very clearly less product.
