I’ve been using this shampoo for several years now and it was my favorite! I recently purchased a bottle and immediately noticed it left my hair feeling oily and unwashed. I will no longer be purchasing this brand and I hope the formula changes back. Only then will I consider buying this again.

These products are extremely healthy in that they don’t have any cancerous chemicals. They also smell very good. However, they are sulfate free which is NOT good for oily thin hair such as mine. It made my hair even more greasy even quicker (almost immediately after it dried). It really should only be used for chemically or color treated hair, and because I don’t have that type of hair I’m not sure if it works well for it.

New formula is terrible. This was my go to for so long, but now it’s impossible to rinse out and leaves my hair tangled and feeling disgusting. I hate wasting money but I couldn’t bring myself to continue using the bottle. Absolutely wouldn’t even consider using again unless they reverted back to the original formula.

I have been using this exact shampoo for YEARS and didn’t realize they re-formulated it until this purchase. I figured it would still be fine but NOPE. Leaves the worst film and greasiness no matter how much I rise. I used to swear by this shampoo! I’m so dissatisfied and disappointed.

This was my go to shampoo (I use the whole collection- conditioner, leave in, mask). It used to get my hair actually clean in a way the coconut one didn’t. The last bottle I got had a label with the “new and improved” note on it - uh-oh. Now no matter how careful I am to rinse the are huge greasy patches in my hair. This is a no-go for me. I don’t need creamy lather, I need clean hair. Now I have to find a new shampoo.

I love SheaMoisture and have previously been a very big fan of the Castor Oil and Baobab Oil collections. I tried this one as I was told it would be best for my hair type, but I found it to be almost too gentle. it wouldn’t lather and my hair felt dirty after wash. Ended up returning. SheaMoisture is a great brand, this one just did not agree with my hair type at all

With age came changed in my hair texture, one day it was soft, next day it was dry and brittle. I tried all different brands of shampoos and conditioners and all types of products on my hair to get the softness back but nothing seemed to work or it was short lived!! Until I found out about this brand of shampoo and conditioner and all I can say it is amazing!!! It leaves my hair super soft and it’s all natural! If your hair is brittle or damaged or like me changes in hair texture due to again this stuff is AWESOME!!! Highly recommended! Will be buying again!!

I absolutely adored this shampoo before the reformulation (been through many bottles). It was the only sulfate free shampoo that actually left my hair feeling clean, and a little went a long way, it didn’t take much for a lot of lather. The reformulation is genuine garbage. The texture of the shampoo itself is now thick & goopy and not as runny or natural feeling as it used to be. It leaves my hair feeling greasy and like there is residue in it, and it doesn’t lather at all. Complete waste of money and now I’m back to the drawing board to find a quality sulfate free shampoo. Why do companies insist on messing with perfection?!

I love shea moisture products. They never disappoint. Also the shine my hair has after the shower. I recommend after you rinse out your conditioner to rinse with cold water. It enhances the shine.
