A: t schmidt: Yes, the hooks can be used to hang just a shower curtain without a liner. However, depending on the weight of the shower curtain, the hooks could tilt in that direction due to the unbalanced weight. Thank you for your interest in our product.

Q: How do you get the liner & curtain on those hooks? I'm trying really hard to get them on there and they won't go. Someone there try the curtains with the grommets.

The key to getting the shower curtain and liner buttonholes attached to the hooks is to hold the buttonhole (or grommet) vertically, then slide it down through the shower ring opening. This will ensure no damage is done to your shower curtain or liner. Terrible item! I had to bend it to place it onto my shower rod and then when I tried to put the shower liner on, it wouldn’t even go in properly. Ended up trying so hard that it broke the shower curtain and the liner. I threw out the whole thing since it was all bent and deformed

J: These shower hooks are designed to work with standard 1-inch diameter shower curtain rods. If you find the hooks are too snug to fit your shower grommets, we recommend bending the hook part of the rings slightly outward to create a wider gap. We hope this helps! Thank you.

YES, it works on METAL fastings/holes I love that it’s easy to hang the curtains on them because they have two sides so I hung the plastic first and then I hung the cloth I did not have to struggle with trying to hang both pieces of curtains at the same time into one ring

Almost bought black but decided on brass and they don't appear to be painted like the black are. Look amazing and fit on oval and bowed out rods perfectly. Had no trouble with grommets on mine. Love them! Wish they offered chrome though. Would recommend brass color for sure.

I purchased these hooks more than a year ago. I love them, but they are not good long-term. The paint has rubbed off where the hook drags across the shower curtain bar. Super disappointing.

I bought these because my old hook style rings kept falling off the shower curtain rod whenever I opened and closed it. These are much less annoying! I wish they came in more finish colors, as the black doesn’t exactly match my bronze rod. The overall look is good, but I also wish they didn’t show the curtain liner so much at the top.

The material is much more thin than I anticipated. It’s about the thickness of a dry cleaners hanger. However, I like the simple design and easy installation. Looking forward to a few years of use. Fair price good style. Works best for shower curtains that have grommets.
