Q: Is there a shortage of Similac 360 Total Care?
A: We see and hear the anxiety of parents who are facing empty shelves, and we are doing everything we can to get more formula to families. Abbott is producing Similac from a number of our manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and overseas, and Similac can be found on shelves already in many cases. -The Similac Team

submitted bycassjenks07 - 3 years agoA: I have spent the past week looking everywhere ( in stores and online) for this particular formula, unfortunately for me no luck.

Q: can I use a bottle warmer for this formula
A: If you want to warm the bottle, place it in a bowl of warm water or hold it under warm tap water. Shake the bottle gently and then test the temp, making sure it's warm and not hot. Don't ever heat the bottle in a microwave because the formula can get hot really fast and burn your baby's mouth. - The Similac Team

Q: What if I buy the 8oz but break them down in 2oz will make be good stored and or how many days
A: Great question! Once the 8 fl oz bottle has been opened and poured into your baby’s clean bottles, both the formula in your baby’s bottles and any left in the 8 fl oz bottle should be refrigerated immediately and used within 2 days. -The Similac Team

Q: Do the nipples come with the ready to go similac 360 bottles or do we need to purchase separately?
A: No. Many nipples available in retail stores may fit our 8oz bottles. You may want to look for the words "classic" or "standard" on the package. We've also heard from other parents that they were able to re-use nipples from a bottle they already had, so that could save you some time and money! -The Similac Team

Q: What kind of nipples are compatible with these bottles? (There are so many out there, the ones we use from advent do not fit… just wondering, as these bottles are part of our emergency go bag)

Q: Is it okay to store unopened bottles in the fridge? Or do they need to be used within 48 hours because of the temp?
A: If the container is still sealed, the most desirable range is between 55 & 75 degrees F, but the acceptable temperature range is between 32 & 95 degrees F. You might notice changes in the way it looks or tastes if exposed to really high temps so it's best to follow these guidelines. -The Similac Team

Q: once this bottle is opened does it have to be consumed within 24 hours?
A: Great question! Once the 8 fl oz bottle has been opened and poured into your baby’s clean bottles, both the formula in your baby’s bottles and any left in the 8 fl oz bottle should be refrigerated immediately and used within 2 days. Hope this helps! - The Similac Team

Q: Can I place one of the single use nipples on the top of the bottle to feed while out
A: Yes, you can! Just keep in mind, if your baby doesn’t finish the bottle of formula within one hour, throw it away. When a baby starts drinking from a bottle, bacteria that are naturally present in your baby's mouth enter the bottle through the nipple hole. If any formula is left in the bottle after the feeding, these bacteria will grow in the leftover formula. Refrigerating the bottle and reheating it later will not stop the growth of bacteria. - The Similac Team

Q: how different is this ready to feed formula from the 360 powder formula? is it okay to give both formulas to baby in the same day? Ready to feed during the day and powder in the evenings?
A: Great question! The different forms of Similac infant formulas are comparable nutritionally, but you may notice the liquid is a little bit thicker compared to prepared powder. Ingredients and processing methods cause these variations but we wouldn't expect your little one to notice much of a difference. - The Similac Team
