Q: Does Simple Human's 35 QT dual trash/recycle pull out system have a smaller base because both cans equal 35 QT(one 15 qt, the other 20qt)? as opposed to Rev a Shelf 35 QT?

We bought a boat last November and I have been searching since for a pull-out garbage/recycle combo that would work in the cabinet. I finally found it and my husband installed yesterday. It’s funny to say, but the whole family loves it! It is quality construction and an easy install (once my husband built up a base for a recessed boat cabinet!

I have a very tight space under the sink for a slide out garbage pail. I already had a pull out pail, but with new compositing rules in my area I needed something with 2 compartments. This was the only manufacture I could find that makes a slim model with 2 pails. I literally had only a 1/2" margin of error, so installing was a little tricky. After some tests with taping the brackets down I finally got the right position and drilled the screws. I’ve only had them about a month, but it got us through 2 holidays so far with no issues. I’m hoping these last as long as the previous pull out can which was still operating fine before removing it. I was hoping the set came with a sample pail liner to get your started, but it does not. Fortunately I had some old plastic bags that I was able to place in there for my first use.

For our application it worked out perfectly. Already had a big built in cabinet for a trash can slash recycling bin and this worked perfectly for us. Even left room on the side for the trash bags and dog food.

We really like the dual garbage and recycling in draw cans! they work well! I just with they both had a hole at the bottom like your other cans do so when you put a bag in it you don't have to let the air out to have the bag go in all the way. Also, all your other cans have storage for the bags somewhere and I would love it if there was an option for that on this one! Otherwise it's great!

Our kitchen was absolutely transformed by replacing an in-room trash bin with this under the sink cabinet 35L dual compartment pull=out can and recycle bin. We also purchased a Simple Human compost bin which now hangs on the inside of the cabinet door instead of cluttering the countertop. Simple Human offers such great products… better living through simplicity!

Even though it holds less than our other garbage that was shoved under the sink this one is perfect! Garbage shouldn’t be collected for days anyway. I love how with one finger it easily comes out to drop my garbage in. The recycle bin is perfect for us too! No longer making a pile of recyclables for my husband to deal with. Thank you!

This trash can is very sturdy, made well, and is very easy to install with just a few screws. It’s not very large, but it fits the bill if you don’t want a trash can openly displayed in your kitchen. It’s worth it to get it out of the way. We did purchase the liners as well and I am glad we did because they are specifically made for these cans. Great purchase.
