Summary of reviews
The product has a promising concept for improving batting skills, but many guests have reported issues with the quality of materials. While it initially works well, the plastic components tend to wear down quickly, leading to grooves in the ball and reduced functionality. Despite these concerns, some guests appreciate its effectiveness in training and enhancing swing techniques, making it a useful tool for practice sessions.

Great product concept. Did anyone test this thing?? The ropes cut grooves into the soft plastic grommet in the ball like all the other reviews say. Now what? Return back to the store?

We bought a Zip n Hit this afternoon and tried it out as soon as we got home. It worked great, for the first 8 or 10 pitches. After that, the cheap plastic insert that the strings run through had grooves cut in it by the strings and try as hard as I might, I couldn't even get the ball to make it all the way to the plate. If you'd make that one piece out of good old fashioned American aluminum, it would last for 10 years. The plastic one literally didn't last 10 minutes.

Bought one. Used it 2 times. The cords cut grooves in the ball and it would not slide down the cords. Very unhappy. I threw it away. Waste of my money

I just bought a new zip hit pro to replace my old one and received it yesterday. I don't know what changes you made but they are not to make the product better. The first one I had for a few years and it worked great. My daughter could get in a groove and the ball moved freely. This new one did not work from the first time we set it up. The nylon string made grooves in the ball and will go about 6 ft and stops. I have tried everything from putting the old ball on the new one to lubing the ball and it will not go. Very disappointed in the new one and would like to know if I have any options.

I just bought this for my son. The first time my son hit the ball the clips broke cheap plastic. I decided to try to fix it by putting a d-ring through the harness next thing I know the ball stops going. Looked it over and found there were grooves and the ring from the ropes. This all happened within 15 minutes of use. Terrible product, could have been great if it was made with better materials.

My son received this as a gift the other day. We tried it today and it worked great for about 10 minutes. After that the grommet in the ball had deep grooves in it which prevented the ball from travelling with any speed down the rope. From the number of similar reviews I have seen online, this seems like something that should have been discovered in product testing. I'm very disappointed in this.

I used the product less than 2 hours and grooves cut into the plastic inserts in the ball. Trying to purchase the black inserts. They can be replaced it the the manufacturer will sell me the replacements. Concept is good but quality of inserts is bad. Probably needs to be metal so the inserts aren’t grooves by the strings

Two sessions of use with my 9yo son and the string started to wear grooves in the plastic of the ball. Sting is fraying and ball no longer travels. Cheap, cheap, cheap - don’t waste your money. Should have known after reading all the terrible reviews.

I bought this item and for the first day it was great! Worked my two boys for about 20 minutes each. Attempted to use it a couple of days later and it would only make it about 5-8 feet down the rope. It was going all the way to the end on the first day. I noticed it was getting deep grooves in the center washer. The more of the comments I read, you would think that they would have already addressed this issue as many people are complaining about the same thing.

After the little league team I coached this summer had a chance to use one and I personally saw how our hitting improved, I purchased one for the fall team I coach. As soon as it came in we attempted to use it, but quickly became frustrated and disappointed in the fact the ball either stopped short of the hitter or would barely make it to them. After becoming familiar with the item over the summer I was extremely disappointed that a brand new one doesn’t work at all.

This product has made drastic improvements on my sons hitting! It has really helped with his bat speed and driving the ball with a level swing, also being able to control the speed at which I am able to pitch at him has helped him sit back and let the ball come to him. However, apparently we have used it too much because the plastic stoppers on the handles have come lose and we have now broken the zip cord. Great product but did'nt last very long.

Purchased and used once. The the friction from the cords created large indentations causing the ball to stop before getting to batter.
