Very powerful and easy to maneuver. It does need some kind of adjustable deflector shield. It throws the snow so high in the air and if there is any wind, You get covered.

I purchased the SJ618E snow blower some time ago, and had the opportunity to use it after our epic ice and snow storm of Jan 2025. I understand this is not a heavy duty blower, it struggled with the wet snow and there was an ice layer so I get it. However. The design could use a little more thought process. The chute and ring it attaches to are plastic. The chute has tabs that slot into the ring and then supposedly snap into place and the whole thing is secured by ONE little screw. Completely inadequate. the side opposite the screw vibrates itself loose and the chute flaps. I added three more screws and it still happened. I'm up to 8 screws total around the base of the chute where it sits on the mounting ring. Very poorly thought out. This turned an hour of snow blowing into four hours of frustration and shadetree rigging. Not happy.

Beware! The Snow Joe Snowblowers are nothing more than a cheap toy. I bought the blower 4 years ago and only used it once in the first three years on a three inch snow. Got a 4" snowfall this last weekend and used it and halfway through the driveway, the blower stops working and then I smell burning electrical. Of course the warranty has run out and I have a snowblower that is useless that I used for one and a half snowfalls. TOTAL WASTE OF MY MONEY.

Shovel works well for my situation. Live in an apartment where landlord does iffy job on sidewalk by my door and around parked cars. This works good for this small area, was pleasantly surprised in many levels of accumulation. For deeper snow need to lift and take half at a time. Have a balance issue and the angle of the handle if helpful for its use. Assembly was fairly easy but screws that hold handles could be better and are difficult to get tight enough.

I bought this about 2 years ago and it was OK moving moderate amounts of dry/powdered snow. It definitely struggled with heavy wet snow but thankfully we rarely get that here in Manitoba. Unfortunately, this particular model has a plastic adjustment dial near the top of the handle to allow it to be modified to adjust for people's comfort preference. Different heights and/or longer arms. This plastic dial means the handle flexes whenever you hit a snow ridge or larger snow bank. Any amount of pressure to move forward will cause the handle to flex at the plastic dial and sure enough, it broke today. Every other snow blower I've owned has had complete metal handles and I've never had an issue with them breaking/bending, etc. In fact, I think this is the only Snow Joe model that has this plastic dial. I was not overly rough with this snow blower, just pushed it into snow banks to get to the snow. I even made sue taht I pushed in line with the handle and not upwards which would add additional flex to the plastic joint. Very poor design and we'll see if Snow Joe honours their products and provides a replacement plastic part or preferably, a full metal handle

I bought a snowjoe several years ago. Best decision I ever made. While it's only a single battery model (older) it is still running strong. I do our 4 unit townhouse (the neighbours reap the benefit) and it works amazing. I would not hesitate to buy another.

My Snow Joe is excellent, I unreservedly endorse and recommend this battery-powered snow shovel, I've had it for 2 winters now, no issues. Adjustable handle is great, it's well balanced. The snow flies so much that passers-by ask me where I got it!

I love it. All of the neighbors want to borrow it. The only draw back " WAS" the storage bag. It is very flimsy. The unit's sharp edges rip right through it. I have only used it in a lite fluffy snow. Nothing heavy or wet. Mo.24VSS13

Works very well when needing to blow straight ahead. Battery adds alot of weight to the Snow Joe. I wish it came with wheels to make it more user friendly for the more mature users.

Now that I have had my Snow Joe Cordless Snow Shovel for a couple months, I'm ready to write a review. At first, I thought it was only good for that "sweet spot" of 1-3 inches of snow. But yesterday and today I used it on 4-11 inches. It can handle very deep snow if you take it slow. I used it yesterday while still in my robe and slippers (sorry no photo) and did not get covered in snow like other reviewers - but I'm in Minnesota and we understand snow and wind and physics. I haven't run out of battery life during a shoveling session yet - it's good for at least 1/2 hour. It's lightweight - I call it my snow vacuum - one hand is all that's needed if you're clearing just a couple inches. Perfect for decks, patios, walkways. For a large driveway I use it for the edges and let the gas-powered machine handle the large job. Well worth the money, very convenient.

We had the wet heavy rain and about 7 to 8 inches of snow on February 22, 23. My other half lost the key to the Toro. So SnowJoe to the rescue. Although l had to do it in swipes it still would have been horrible to lift this snow. I got through half before the batteries died (I have two) usually l can do the entire walkway, parking pad, front of the house walkway. This snow really packed a punch. SNOW Joe did half the job then l had to recharge the batteries for the rest. I have had this product for about 5 years. I wish you'd make one with a directional, lights and at least 20 inches. That way l really wouldn't need a snowblower. Thank you!
I like mine

Received my SJ cordless shovel on Feb 10, 2023. Charged it overnight and put it to work this morning shoveling 4-6" of snow from my front walk. Worked like a dream. I live in northern Maine next to the Canadian border so we get a lot of snow. What surprised me the most was that the shovel easily went through impacted snow that he town's street plow stacked up in front of my walk. I then tacked the snow plowed up in from of my driveway and the shovel disbursed that quickly. I have a drive that is almost 90’ so I started shoveling a path down it. I wanted to see how powerful the shovel was, so I started pushing the shovel down the drive without stopping, putting a heavy load on it. I went about 50 feet and stopped. No problem. I used it to clear snow from around my car and the driver’s side of my Hummer H3t. Again, no problem. I then started shoveling about 20’ to my garage, and the shovel started shutting off. Nothing serious, just the battery needing recharged. Really a powerful machine. I like mine.
