Bought this as a gift for someone else, when they opened it up it was missing both the lids (no sign of the box being previously opened), had a hard time finding it in stock to exchange, but finally did. Only to open that one and one of the bases was falling apart.

I severely underestimated the size of these. I read 2 quarts and thought they’d be pretty useless except for hosting (dips/fondu and stuff like that). I mainly bought them because I love strawberries and thought they’d were cute, more decorative than useful… This morning I decided to test one out and I’m shocked at how much I was able to fit! A little over a pound of stew meat, 3 large carrots (chopped obviously) and 1/2 a large onion with an inch-ish of space until the top rim. It heated up quickly and everything appears to be cooking normally.. Even happier I bought them now. 10/10 honestly.. and can’t beat the price. $15 for both of these, what a steal!

The offgassing goes away after the first time. Suggest to do an empty batch in a ventilated area with an open window or even outdoors. It has 10x less of a power draw than a toaster oven to reheat food. There would probably have been less offgasing if the feet and base were made of metal.

I turned it on and there was this burning smell… I’ve had a slow cooker/crockpot before but it didn’t smell like this. It was taking way too long to warm up. Maybe it’s just this set I’m not sure.
