I made chocolate fondue with fruits and pretzels for a family gathering, and it was delicious. The downside is that this product doesn’t have a temperature control option, and it gets very hot. I used a thermometer to check the temperature, and it reached 180 degrees, which is too hot to enjoy. Overall, it is a fun product to use and appealing, especially for kids.

We had the kids over and I wanted a nice dip for tortilla chips. The slow cooker was perfect to keep the cheese dip warm. I sautéed sausage in a skillet. I drained the sausage then added it to the mini slow cooker with Velveta, salsa, green onions and a few other ingredients. I sat the slow cooker to the side to allow it to melt the cheese until it was dipping time. My family enjoyed sitting around the kitchen island dipping chips and chatting. We really had a fun time. I didn’t really know what this could be used for. It is on the small side and I figured it would be good mode a fondue dip or maybe heating up some nacho cheese. I was hoping this included a recipe book but the promised recipes are available through a QR code. The lid is also a little flimsy in my estimation but for a simple dip, it will do.

It is a sweet and cute gift and really nice looking on the kitchen counter. Especially if you are just discovering new recipes it maybe a great option. It’s cute. However, there is no ability to remove the inner pot for a proper cleaning. It also doesn’t not have a temperature (on/off) knob so you have to make sure to unplug it. Also, it doesn’t get nearly hot enough so it wouldn’t even remotely melt cheese or chocolate. We love fondue so we were hoping this would be a cute little addition to some home cheese and chocolate fondues. Glad we tried it without the kids first because they would have been sad. We will be returning the item.
