Did not lighten- waste of money

No noticeable change. We bought the platinum blonde and applied this to dark blonde hair (with some natural highlights) to lighten for a character costume. Showered, applied to wet hair as instructed, let stand for 20 minutes, rinsed and conditioned. Giant waste of time and money. While I had low expectations, I didn’t expect it to do nothing. The best I can say is that it didn’t seem to damage the hair. Would give this zero stars, if I could.

I've been dying my hair for over 15 years. I know what I'm doing. I used Splat throughout the mid-2000s and loved this brand. When I saw this product, I was excited to give it a try, but wish I never did. I have my hair lifted to a level 8/9. I did 30 minutes with my hair damp, and ANOTHER 30 minutes with it wet afterwards. Instead of a nice purple tint or even a white, my hair is DARKER. It's straight up bronze now. I'm livid. What a waste of money because now I get to spend even MORE buying from a different brand to fix this mess.

I'm sorry these colors look horrible, every single one is orange, and they all look horribly damaged, if your not a professional you should not be using lightener with no education, there's a reason we have to be certified.....the only ones that look a little better are the girls that are already blonde. Not one looks like the girl on the box, but everyone thinks they are a hair stylist 🤣🤣

I didn't want the reviews to be true. I wanted to be the exception that came out with beautiful light pink hair. I have light golden blonde hair and it deposited zero color, but made my hair brassy and feels very damaged after only leaving it on for 10 minutes. My hairdresser is going to have a conniption fit.

Perfect low budget toner

Long story short: for best results apply to wet hair and leave on for much longer than it says to. I find this to apply to most color depositing conditioners and similar products. I forgot to take a before picture, but I’m happy with the results. First I did a test strand to see how it would take to my hair. I applied to dry hair and left on for 30 minutes. It dried up pretty quickly and didn’t seem to do much, but when I rinsed out I noticed how much more it lathered up. so then I took a shower, shampooed and conditioned normally and then applied the foam all over to wet hair. Wrapped my hair up in a plastic bag and put a towel over so it wouldn’t dry up. Let sit for 1 hour. Then rinsed out and didn’t use any shampoo or conditioner. The results are not dramatic but definitely noticeable. My hair was pretty brassy beforehand. My hair also feels light and soft, not dried out at all. Very happy with the result for the price point. It’ll get me by between salon visits.

My hair turned a grayish blue...nothing like violet. I applied over pre lightened ends. Hopefully it washes out fast as this wasn't what I was going for or what was pictured on the bottle !

The prettiest color! I applied this on dry hair with my hands When I do this again I will use a brush and section out hair to fully saturate In previous reviews I read that some say it didn’t take to their hold head, I actually believe this is user error. In my hair you will see the spots that I didn’t saturate enough This turned even some of the more brassiest parts of my hair the prettiest shade

Waste of money and time

This added zero color to my daughters hair, what a waste of money. With it being on the pricier side it should at least work. The first try we left it on for 20min no change in color, the next time we tried it we left it on for over 45min and again made no change in color. Zero pink and my daughter is a white blonde. Very disappointed.

I put it on dry hair, wrapped my hair around my head and put a cap over it and slept in the. The next morning I woke up with beautiful, silky, shiny hair. My natural hair is a gray tone soft, but the soft pink made it look like a beautiful light brown!

Product does not work on light blonde hair and would not even show up on platinum blonde highlights. I got the purple one and have used it twice once for the 20 minutes and another time for 40. Does not leave any color in hair.
