Q: Does anyone know if the legs can come off of this to lower the mattress to the floor? Our little is starting to try to climb out and we want to try the mattress as low as it can get.

A: The legs cannot be removed from the mattress support. The lowest the mattress can go is the lowest setting function on the crib.

Q: Hello, this crib smells strongly of chemicals. Does the JPMA certification address VOCs/off-gassing? I cannot find this answer on the JPMA website and I was unable to reach anyone at storkcraft or JPMA. Thank you for your help in advance.

A: Short answer is no. JPMA deals more with the structure and function. The Greenguard certifications deal with safeguarding against VOCs and off-gassing.
submitted byTaylor - 11 months agoA: Hi Fcg, Thank you for reaching out to us. We can assure you that the stain we use in our products is non-toxic and water based. New product can sometimes give off an odor called off gassing, after it has been confined in a box from new. This does not normally last more than a few days, however to help dissipate this odor, we would suggest keeping the room well ventilated until the odor has gone and to wipe the product down with a damp cloth, then dry with a different cloth.

A: Hi there, the Beckett 3 in 1 Convertible Crib does not have drop sides. The distance between the slats is 51mm on the front and back, 53mm on the ends. And to to determine the manufacturing date you should look for the model sticker on the crib, it is located at the bottom on the left or side panel before the mattress support. Q: Will this fit a newton mattress with dimensions of (52" x 28" x 5.5")?

A: Hi, thanks for reaching out. The mattress size should be at least 27.25 inches wide x 51.625 inches long and should not exceed more than 6 inches thick. The mattress should be of such length and width that the gap between the mattress and the sides of the crib is not more than 1-3/16 inches when the mattress is pushed into the corner of the crib. This is for safety reasons, ensuring no gaps.

Q: There’s one piece left to assemble the crib but it doesn’t fit anywhere? I have to remove all the leg pieces and now it’s too low to be next to my bed. It’s hard to reach my baby because the legs are off the crib. Am I supposed to order another piece?

Q: My 1 year old was standing up, and rubbing his teeth, on the crib, and the paint all chipped off on his face and mouth. I am assuming the paint is lead free? Has this happened to anybody else?

A: Our products are finished with non-toxic paint. Unfortunately with chewing, we cannot control. However we do recommend that if this does start to happen, you can look into purchasing crib protectors.

A: The natural crib is finished with a clear coat that is a non toxic product. Staining yourself would not be possible and is not recommended.

Good crib until you need to lower the frame. The bolts are impossible to get out, some of the brackets come directly out of the frame, and the storkcraft support team is impossible to get a response from. We have reached out 5 times via various support channels over the last 2.5 weeks with no response to our request for parts support. After already waiting over a week, the chat agent told me they would restart the process but that I would not get a response for another week. It has been over a week and that timeline is alarming when these products concern the safety of babies. Still no answers and we will likely have to buy another crib. Don't waste your money.
The holes are not aligned, so you cant assemble it.

The screws for the different levels/heights are messed up. The two components were fused together so that we couldn’t get the inner screw out to attach the spring. We are stuck with almost assembled crib that can’t be completed. This is vert frustrating.

Dear Storkcraft, Allow me to say how disappointed we are with our crib. We purchased the Beckett Convertible Crib with high hopes on a tight budget and immediately discovered that it is deceitfully advertised as a convertible crib when in fact it is only convertible upon the purchasing of additional parts. What you are selling is not a convertible crib and now as we are attempting to fork over more money to you in order to dig ourselves further into the hole you have created, we have discovered you are completely out of stock of the parts we need. If this weren't shameful enough, you are continuing to sell the "convertible" crib on your website with the guardrails out of stock proving you are intentionally misleading people. It seems incomprehensible that you would produce less guard rails than cribs and not package these together in the first place. I will most certainly never purchase from you again, but would like to thank you for souring this significant milestone in our lives and for ripping us off. Sincerely disappointed, First time parents.

False advertising. They say 3 in 1 but really just 2 bc the small side rails aren’t really included therefore shouldn’t be in the picture. You can take one side off and lower it to make it a toddler bed therefore only 2 options. Wouldn’t have bought if I had realized that

Hi Michelle, thanks for reaching out. The guard-rail is optional. The crib can still convert into the toddler bed without this guard-rail by removing the front rail and lowering the mattress support to the lowest setting.

We received this item and it looks great but the screws don’t fit when assembling. Looks like they just painted where they see fit and you cant screw in the screws without stripping them.

I was so upset this crib did not work out for us. Screws didn't want fit to into the drilled holes. Very cheaply made for the cost of it. Had to carry this heavy thing into the store to return since it was shipped to me. Very disappointed

Love the design, not too bulky/ heavy but doesn’t feel “cheap”. Easy to put together, wasn’t a fan of the metal mattress support, was worried that the springs would stick out/make noise, but you can barely even tell with the mattress on it. Much less expensive than a lot of similar looking models.
