Shake well before use. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating. Immediately after towel drying. At least every 2 hours. Sun protection measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. I typically do not write negative reviews. I read the existing reviews for this product and they were mixed and gave the product a try. After a few uses, my teenage daughter and I are both covered in a red rash and hives from an allergic reaction. Boy, I wish I had listened to the negative reviews and this issue. Made us miserable on vacation and still paying the price.

I have used Sun Bum since it came out years ago, and this tanning oil is the best. Clean ingrediants compared to others, and I start to use the tanning oil after I received a base tan while using the higher spf Sun Bum tanning lotion. Never fails to give me a deep dark tan!

Wow, I wish I had read these reviews, I have the same experience, itchy red rash everywhere I used the oil spray. Burning red rash that is so itchy. I last used the spray 2 days ago and the rash is still as bad as it’s been. I love sun bum, but this tanning spray is bad news.

I used this oil a couple times on vacation and several days later I developed hives on my entire body and eventually went into anaphylaxis and wound up in the ER due to this product. I will never purchase anything from Sun Bum again. It was a nightmare.

This product should not be allowed on the market and Sun Bum should be sued for putting it out in the market and leave it there after all these negative reviews. Just like everybody else I developed a horribly painful and itchy red bumpy rash all over my arms and legs as did my wife and children!!! Watch, Sunbum will just reply with the same canned response to this view as they did with every other review

Does it smell good? Yes. Did I get sunburned? No. Do I have a rash everywhere I applied the oil?? YES!! BELIEVE all of the reviews that said they got a rashor had an allergic reaction. I do not have sensitive skin. I've heard great things about sunbum. This oil was disappointing.

I’m in Southern California, lifelong sun bather here. I’ve used & have every sunscreen brand- usually buying luxury spf products. This is hands down my favorite tanning oil. It allows me to achieve the perfect bronze tan while not burning. Usually after excessive exposure to the sun I can get water blisters, and or peel. Since I’ve been using this I haven’t done either. Bonus points for smelling divine & easy spray application. Stays on in water too!

Prevented Sunburn, felt it aided in a nice bronze-like tone BUT as many others have mentioned, it gave me a rash. A terrible itchy rash at that. It didn’t show until the morning after the first use. (I even showered before bed) So bummed out! I’ve never had a reaction to any sort of product before and for $20…disappointed
