This is beautiful and the opening is 3.5” I think, far better than the smaller versions which seem to have openings of 3” or less. I want to get another one of this design and dimensions, but they are sold out everywhere! When will they be back in stock??

It’s really beautiful but it also smells really bad. The black grout on the glass can chip off over time. The glass mosaic is epoxy glued onto the glass orb. Definitely had to wipe the inside clean, I didn’t want the bird food getting contaminated with smelly grout powder. The 12” wire is coated, and there’s no good way to shorten if the length is too long. I resorted to tying a few knots for a table top hanger.

That will teach me to order based on a 5 star review with no comments. This is a disappointment. For the price and the picture I expected it to be very cute. In person it is much smaller than I expected, but most upsetting is the quality of the workmanship. The tiles are slapped on there sloppily with many areas of the grout on the glass. Looks very cheap. And most bizarre of all is a large hole on the bottom, ummmm isn't this a bird feeder?? I'll have to put tape over it or something otherwise all the bird seed will fall through.

This is pretty on its own, but when the sun hits it, the reflections are awesome. Various birds have fed from it. The smaller ones pass through the middle and the larger ones (like Scrub Jays) just knock into it until seed falls to the ground and they eat it there. Not tons of traffic, but enough to keep filling it - though I'd even leave it hanging in the yard empty because it looks great.

I have mixed feelings about this “bird feeder”. I wanted something to add a little color to my multiple hanging bird feeder pole. This feeder sparkles in the sunlight and is made well. However, the instruction sheet included states the strong mirror-like reflections may frighten some birds, so it is suggested to select a location away from sunlight. This is exactly what happened. I went from constant bird traffic at my feeders to none, so I moved it away to a very shaded location. I have yet to see a bird land on it-even the squirrels leave it alone!

This bird feeder is beautiful! It has a very sturdy hanging wire, however it is not as long as it looks in the photo. I bought this as a gift, and I think the recipient might even just hang it inside instead. It can be a lovely addition to your yard, or something pretty for the home.
