An adequate selenium blood level is an absolute necessity in the coronavirus fight. Selenium from yeast is preferred. Selenium is a virus fighter. Do a GOOGLE search. Try searches like "selenium China virus" or "H1N1 selenium virus" . A vitamin D level between 40 and 60 ng/mL will help maintain a robust immune system.

Really I have no idea which of the various forms of selenium is best, except that you do not want just straight up selenium or a simple compound. One thing weird is that they put a tiny 200 mcg dose in such a large capsule, requiring a bunch of filler. Probably it's to discourage people from taking more than one. Doses over 400-600 mcg are toxic, especially if you take it long term. More is not better, but 200 mcg/day isn't a bad thing just in case.
Most forget about importance of this.

I have always taken Selenium 200 mcg. with my Vitamin E. This is my Selenium form of choice. Swanson makes it available to us at such a reasonable price! Highest quality anywhere! I take one capsule daily. Buying your Selenium this way from Swanson is a bargain. How could I not recommend that you buy this top quality Selenium from Swanson?

I live in a selenium deficient area and my multi does not have 100% of the RDA for selenium. Even so, I only take this 3 to 4 times per week. It is a great source of selenium and I think the price cannot be beat.

I use this along with Jarrows Zinc Balance, also found on this site. This is a very easy-to-swallow cap, and a very compact bottle; couldn't be any more convenient. I take this every few days or once a week -- basically, I space it out -- to make sure I'm not overdoing it (I may be excessively cautious with supplements, but better safe than sorry, I always figure). I try to keep in mind to take it easy with minerals and fat-soluble vitamins; remember, the body works best when it's in balance, and if a little is really good, more is not necessarily better, and too much is just as bad as not having nearly enough. Anyway, yeah, the price on this is great, and the product seems to be top-notch. I'm happy with my purchase.
