Sylvania 9005 LED Powersport Headlight Bulbs for Off-Road Use or Fog Lights - 2 Pack

I wish I could've seen them in action. I purchased these to install in my low beam projector on my Ram 1500 Laramie. According to their fitment lookup, the 9005 fit but that is not correct. The fan is on the way and the cover will not seal. Very disappointed.

I have used the 9005 bulb in 3 different vehicles so far and they have outperformed any stock bulb you'll buy. Easy installation and very bright.

Pros: Easy install. Dongle makes connecting easy. Great illumination. Bulb is adjustable for proper position. Cons: Once you rotate the bulb, there isn't a way to lock it in. This may or may not be an issue as the dongle is hanging straight down when the bulb is properly aligned, this possibly applies a little weight to offset any rotational tendency...time will tell. I live in a rural area with a lot of deer so wanted better visibility. It's especially bad when you have a truck approaching, blinding you and your halogen headlights just aren't helping. These push so much further down the road and allow me to see even when the Final Destination..er, I mean Logging trucks are approaching.

It has the correct plug in to light it up but it'll just rattle around and not stay in place because it doesn't have the correct adapter to lock it in place

I just bought a set of 9005 from Autozone. They seem decently bright, however, I'm having difficulty getting them oriented. They are almost completely vertically, but not quite. And since their base is round and smooth, it will be a pain to get them back considering the lack of room I have with my car. And the package I bought from Autozone didn't come with any instructions. But they are pretty bright!... If I can get them oriented correctly ill update this!

Bought a set of these last December and the left side went dim after about 2 months. Exchanged them and left side went dim again. Can't exchange them or get a refund because I can't find the reciept. Nice lights but the durability is lacking.

Had the Silverstar Ultra and one went out. I wasn't super pleased with the SSU's yellowness. Even though not "approved" for headlights, do a pretty good job. Rated at 12.5w, step up to 15w for a lil more umph. Prety much the same birghtness as the stock 55w, but the beam is wider. And the 6000k is nice on these old eyes.

We used the bulb on our snowmobile - I was so happy that it fit. I couldn't believe how bright it was! I could see everything very clearly in my yard while out riding. I would definitely recommend this if you have a snowmobile!

I bought a set a year ago as i was getting tired of the HID's. I didn't realize that they had a 5 year warranty on certain bulbs until I bought another set . Funny how all three of my cars take a H11 so it worked out great. Spend the extra few bucks you will thank me later!

I have no complaints and encourage you to try them out for yourself, because you will be amazed how much better these are over old school halogen bulbs!

Plug and play. Easy to install. I would have given 5 stars if it was a bit brighter and real white in color. This one compared to my 6k headlight has a bluish tint to it.

I put these in my 05 Dodge ram because the halogen headlights were terrible. These are a little glitchy even with the resistors it's the truck not the lights. Overall they're great. I'll get some for my fog lights when I replace them.

The install was pretty easy, if you are mechanically inclined or have changed a bulb before. I do have a frankenstine'd off-road vehicle that was built with whatever parts I could get for cheap. So I do have car reflector headlight housings on it. That being said they work flawlessly with those. Great throw and better light output then the halogens I had in. Then about a week ago a friend of mine gave me a set of projector headlights so I mounted one on and tried the bulb in that. I would not recommend this. The throw and light output was worse than the halogens in the reflector housing. Overall I was pleased with the lights. They are good entry LED's for the price. They sit nicely between top of the line halogen and decent HID.
