Way better than fog lights! When placed above the windshield light shines brightly into oncoming trees and terrain for off road but don't recommend this method for street driving just for off road below grill is great for street driving.

It throws a wide, bright beam that lights up the road like daylight. I was worried it would be bulky, but it's actually super slim and sleek. Installation was a breeze, and it feels really sturdy. Driving at night is so much safer now, especially on those dark country roads. It makes a huge difference for visibility.

And because it was so small it did not interfere with most of my roof rack usage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My impression of the product was so different from what it actually is, I'm expecting this review will mostly be your entertainment at my expense and laugh collectively at my doh-moment. I thought this was one of the lightbars that I see on fancy Uber pickups that traverse inside the car, on the dashboard, provide a cool blue or light red glow, lightly illuminate the interior, and plugs into the lighter socket. What this really is - could not be more of a polar opposite. This is meant to be mounted externally on the vehicle. The box came with mounting screws, but reading through the instructions, the mounting itself needs a professional - or at least someone who knows what they are doing. Second, this does not plug into any lighter sockets. Should follow by reasoning, since the mount itself was not made of peel-off sticky strip. This comes with 2 bare wire connections, about 10 inches long, which means the mount needs to figure out a way to quickly send the wires into some protected conduit and then hook it up permanently to the power supply. This is meant to be installed on the front, and is meant to blast copious amounts of photons towards anything unfortunate enough to land in the zone. In other words - this will light up everything in front. In summary - if you are looking for an external lighting solution, for perhaps an off road vehicle, and either know what you are doing, have a friend who does, or are planning to include a professional in your implementation, go right ahead. If you spend more time figuring out which upholstery cleaner to use, how to remove the micro scratches from paint, and which car wash has the most wax, than taking your car apart or getting it muddy, then this is likely going to end up as an expensive decorative fixture in your garage or basement.
