Q: How long do these eggs stay fresh & edible refridgerated?

submitted by Texas Gma - 4 months ago
  • A: Hi! The expiration date should be on the right-hand side of the carton. If you are still not able to find it, we should mention eggs can be refrigerated for three to five weeks from the day they are first placed in the refrigerator, per the USDA. Store your Happy Eggs in your fridge at 40°F or lower to keep them fresh. If you still feel worried that the eggs may not be fresh, try the egg float test! Put your Happy Egg in a bowl of cold water. If the egg sinks to the bottom, it is still fresh!

Q: Are these 100% pasture chickens?

submitted by RhondaS - 8 months ago
  • A: Hi Rhonda, our hens are raised on small family farms and are given access to roam freely on over 8 acres of range (this equates to about 21.8 sq/ft per bird)!

Q: Do the chickens eat a supplemental feed containing corn or soy?

submitted by Emily P - 9 months ago
  • A: We feed our hens a specially formulated diet of whole grains -- including corn and soy, mixed with vitamins and minerals, to provide the best nutrition for healthy hens and great eggs. Because the hens have the ability to go outdoors, their daily feed is supplemented by a range-foraged diet, including grass and bugs. The hen’s feed is free of added meat, bone meal or hormones. In addition, Happy Egg hens producing organic eggs are fed a 100% organic, non-GMO diet.

Q: Is your brand pasteurized?

submitted by Dwn - 10 months ago
  • A: Hey! No, our eggs aren’t pasteurized but we do have a process where the eggs are rapidly heated (but not up to 100 degrees Celsius as pasteurization requires) and are held at a minimum required temperature for a specified time to destroy bacteria.

Q: Where are they from...where is the chicken farm...

submitted by sjmadrone - 2 years ago
  • A: Thanks for your question! Our Happy Egg farms are located primarily in the Ozark woodlands of Arkansas and Missouri. This region has gently rolling wooded hills for the hens, and a mild climate. This allows the hens to go outside year-round, not just in the summer months.

I actually wanted to leave a review on the amber yolk eggs. They are no longer rich and creamy. And u an an avid buyer of those eggs. Now we get charged for the price of a lesser quality egg. That’s not ok.

3 out of 12 eggs were completely stuck to the cardboard carton. Even after gently wiggling them, all 3 broke in the carton and were wasted. I don’t know why they were stuck but very unfortunate

    I LOVE these eggs!!!

I was originally drawn to your product because I was looking for something different and was attracted to the bright packaging. I'm all about free range/pasture raised and organic so I decided to give them a try. When I opened them up to check them at the store I noticed they are somewhat bigger than what most large eggs are nowadays and I love brown eggs. The first morning I cooked them I definitely noticed the deep orange color and larger size of the yolk. They cooked up very nicely. But the taste! DELICIOUS!!! Creamy and appealing to the palate! Most eggs have a muted looking yolk and are absent of much taste but not Happy Eggs! I am obsessed with them now. I just discovered the organic version at a different grocery store and am now even happier with Happy Eggs! You are obviously doing something right. I read about the eggs, chickens, and your farms on your website. Thank you for doing right and taking care of your chickens. They are God's creatures too and deserve the best life possible. I am spreading the word about your eggs to family and friends. I rarely contact a company about their product but just had to let you know how amazing Happy Eggs are! Thank you and God bless both you and your chickens!

The package of 12 large eggs that I have purchased at first glance appeared to be small eggs; the packaging had the words large eggs, red on a red background. This made the correct size of the eggs, almost disappear.

A few months ago I spotted a new-to-me free range egg at my local store by the Happy Egg Co.; It is important to me to buy free range eggs. This is the freshest, tastiest egg I have purchased in any store in my 47 years of buying eggs as an adult; I did tell the store that they are great as well. I can never go back to eating anything other than an organic Happy Egg. I can tell you have very well-cared for chickens by the gorgeous color of the yolk of their eggs. Please keep doing what you are doing because you are great at it! Thank and kiss the chickens for me.

I recently bought my first carton of Heritage eggs.... I'm not one to leave reviews but I simply can't get over how beautiful these eggs are! The yolks are so golden they almost look like Neon! Their taste is of gourmet quality and I know I am eating something extremely healthy for me! My only issue is that I will never again be able to go back to buying regular store bought eggs! These ARE worth the price! Many thanks to your beautiful hens and for your care of them! This morning I even got a double yolk!!

Big change in your egg cartons

    3 out of 5 stars
    Ellen - 23 days ago
    originally posted on Happy Egg
I used to buy 1 of your cartons of eggs with brown & blue eggs in them at a higher cost than other eggs at the store but felt it was worth it. The eggs were delicious and the yolks were a wonderful orange color. Now I see you have changed and you must buy all brown eggs in 1 carton and all blue eggs in 1 carton. Why the change? I don't want to buy 2 cartons of eggs at one time when I want some of each color,. So I will have to go back to other brands because of this change and just be happy with them. All the other egg cartons are brown so why buy your brown eggs at a higher price when you can buy any egg carton at a lower price? What was the reason for the change from a great marketing item? No one else has that option in their eggs. Big mistake on your part. I wondered why there were so many of your egg cartons on the shelf when they were usually almost sold out. Everybody wants to have some of each color in their purchase. Please reconsider your change and go back to a mix of the two colors in one carton.

    Packaging Issue

Great eggs, great flavor, great healthy qualities! But… there’s a serious packaging issue. A number of the eggs were virtually glued to the carton. AND the eggs have a very thin shell. So when you try to pick one up against the resistance, it bursts open. So, 5 stars for the eggs, 1 star for the packaging issue. You have a great product, but you guys MUST “stop the presses” and fix this before sales tank.

    Eggs are no good

I bought these eggs from a natural store near me in Missouri. Throughout the week eating them, I noticed that I did not feel right but couldn’t zero it down to the eggs yet. The days I didn’t eat them I felt fine, so I started to wonder. I spoke to my cousin in Florida and she said that she was feeling ill after eating eggs and sent me a picture of the carton. Turns out it was the same HAPPY EGGS carton I had at home. We had the same symptoms. Diarrhea every time we consumed them. Same week! I will never be buying these eggs again. The yolks are freakishly orange and I don’t know what this company is doing to their eggs or their chickens but it’s causing illness in the people eating them.

I scrubbed the brown dye off of the dark red eggs with an SOS PAD! Didn't take much to remove it. The blue eggs had splatter on the ends and dark blue spits thst came off. I've raised chickens, so I spot it right away. No comment to cover this behavior. City folks have no clue and don't care anyway. And yes, I took pictures
