Q: How long do these eggs stay fresh & edible refridgerated?
A: Hi! The expiration date should be on the right-hand side of the carton. If you are still not able to find it, we should mention eggs can be refrigerated for three to five weeks from the day they are first placed in the refrigerator, per the USDA. Store your Happy Eggs in your fridge at 40°F or lower to keep them fresh. If you still feel worried that the eggs may not be fresh, try the egg float test! Put your Happy Egg in a bowl of cold water. If the egg sinks to the bottom, it is still fresh!

Q: Do the chickens eat a supplemental feed containing corn or soy?
A: We feed our hens a specially formulated diet of whole grains -- including corn and soy, mixed with vitamins and minerals, to provide the best nutrition for healthy hens and great eggs. Because the hens have the ability to go outdoors, their daily feed is supplemented by a range-foraged diet, including grass and bugs. The hen’s feed is free of added meat, bone meal or hormones. In addition, Happy Egg hens producing organic eggs are fed a 100% organic, non-GMO diet.

Q: Is your brand pasteurized?
A: Hey! No, our eggs aren’t pasteurized but we do have a process where the eggs are rapidly heated (but not up to 100 degrees Celsius as pasteurization requires) and are held at a minimum required temperature for a specified time to destroy bacteria.

Q: Where are they from...where is the chicken farm...
A: Thanks for your question! Our Happy Egg farms are located primarily in the Ozark woodlands of Arkansas and Missouri. This region has gently rolling wooded hills for the hens, and a mild climate. This allows the hens to go outside year-round, not just in the summer months.
