Amazing game! Lot of the bad reviews are comparing it to BOTW- this game originally came out over 10 years ago, no other Zelda games are like BOTW. A classic I’m so glad they revamped it and brought it to the switch.
For real Zelda fans only

This is a great game and great story. The ones giving it poor reviews are too dumb to know what a good game is.
The best Zelda game!

One of the best Zelda games out there. The story is soooo good and it's great that Nintendo released this on the switch. I definitely enjoyed this more than breathe of the wild. The controls are fine idk why people are complaining so much about it. I beat the game on the Wii at 8 years old with no problem 🤷🏽♀️

This game is AWFUL on the switch. It’s so frustrating. I was hoping people were just being negative about it but it’s pretty bad.
Glad Nintendo Ported this to the Switch

I enjoyed this game on the Wii and the controls didn't drive me crazy. My kids; however, had a horrible time with it and ultimately never played the game much. I bought it on the Switch this year as a Christmas gift for my daughter and she's enjoying it very much.
Wow amazing game !

If you play this, do not compare it to Breath of the Wild. This game is fun, but it feels much less complex and easier than Breath of the Wild. The graphics lack in comparison and so does the story. I always love Zelda games though and it kept me entertained throughout play.
Same recycled junk

This game is amazing! definitely one of my favorites!! I'm so glad that Nintendo remastered it for the Switch! It's as good as I remember it from 10 years ago but now portable in my hands which is super cool!! One of the best game soundtracks as well!!
Don't expect Breath of the Wild, but it's fun in its own way

I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a follow-up to Breath of the Wild. this game is a remaster of the previous game in the series, and BotW vastly changed the formula. Skyward Sword displays a more linear story/world progression. it had mixed reception on release due to mandatory motion controls, but the remaster adds the option to use a traditional controller. The dialogue is sped up from the original release, which is a welcome change. There are some great side characters and villains in this game, and it does a solid job at being the origin story for the Legend of Zelda timeline.
Absolute waste of money

I knew that this game would be different from BOTW, but I was excited for new gameplay and a new story. I cannot believe how terrible this game is and I wish I saved my money. The controls on both handheld and motion sensor are horrific. For weeks now, I have been trying to get past the first boss and I’m unable to do so because of the stupid controls. The story and action leading up to this first boss were fun I guess, but the story is so linear as compared to BOTW. This would be one thing if I could continue working through the game, but because I’m stuck at the first boss fight, I can’t even explore even more. 0/10 definitely definitely definitely do NOT recommend.

It’s 90% dialogue, and once you get past that most of the game is just wandering around and following crap. Not fun at all.
Let's be honest, it's not very good

I predominantly play handheld, so the controls are absolutely awful. The game itself also didn't age well at all, music is weak, story is lackluster, characters, groups, & villains are forgettable and don't make a lasting impact; as an example if you ask the majority of players who the Kikwi or the Mogma are you'll probably get a response of "no clue" but if you ask the same question on goron's, zora's, rito, korok then chances are you'll get a "they're from x game" and you'll probably get some details on them; same can't be said for the groups or areas in Skyward sword. The games assistant Vi also doesn't stop talking and there's a ton of cut scenes; I mean the first hour or two is more dialogue and cut scenes than game play. But above all else, I cannot stress again the controls are awful for handheld. Now I can say the temple layouts and difficulty is a good and they have some pretty good temple mechanics. Gameplay is good for the most part, game mechanics are cool and the items / tools are fun, really love the flying beetle. Visually the game looks good and is a big improvement from the original but that is already expected. Motion control are awful as also expected
