Think! Chunky Peanut Butter High Protein Bar - 10 bars, 2.1 oz

I, too, was sad and surprised to find that my favorite protein bar started being manufactured (months ago) with a different taste and smell. I didn't see these reviews until now. I did email the company immediately and let them know about the smell/taste, because I thought perhaps something was wrong. I never was able to talk to a human, and I only got emails saying they were sorry I wasn't satisfied, and one coupon for a free box. I thought perhaps they would eventually go back to manufacturing the old flavor/smell... but nope. After taking a couple of months hiatus from eating these, I have started back eating them sometimes, only because I need the ease/protein, even though they are not nearly as pleasant to eat as prior. Shortly after I had noticed the smell/taste, I saw a person post on FB that the Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs didn't taste the same/good anymore. I wondered/figured it was for the same reason as the taste/smell of these protein bars. But I don't know. I find it interesting and unreal that the company hasn't responded on here to this issue with all of these bad reviews.

I have been eating the Chunky PB bars almost every day for over 10+ years. I get cases sent to our house on a schedule and my son also gets cases sent to him in college. I have tried all of their other flavors and styles over the years, but have stuck with these because I never get tired of them and there is no funky after taste like some of the primary chocolate flavored products. I basically eat one for lunch when I am working in the field or on the road so I don't get tempted to grab fast food. These used to taste great with a nice peanut butter flavor. It now tastes like you recently changed the formula or ingredients. They no longer taste like peanut butter AT ALL. The last few months I noticed they now just taste like chalky bland soy protein powder covered in light chocolate and have a weird smell like alfalfa or something when you open the package. Very disappointed in this company. WHY DID YOU CHANGE THESE???? For the price of these bars I feel like they are doing cost cutting with the ingredients and still charging $$$$. I am now on the look out for a new bar with similar macros but better taste. I can't buy these anymore!!!!!

I used to love the Think bars. I would choose over the Quest bars but not anymore. What’s wrong with them now? Nasty chemical smell coming from them and I even taste it in my mouth. This is not okay! I just bought a pack of the Creamy peanut butter and I will never buy them again! The smell is horrible. Made me sick to my stomach

I have been a loyal, regular think thin bar consumer but lately they have had a very strange odor when I open the package. It makes me concerned that there are weird chemicals in them.

I have bought these for more than a year. The Chunky Peanut Butter bars have been my breakfast at least 5 days a week. My last 3 orders the have had a strong chemical taste. Where is quality control? Please fix this!

I have to agree that whatever change was made is awful. The chemical smell and taste is terrible. I’m not sure if it’s a recipe change or a quality control issue, but unfortunately moving on to a different protein bar. Such a shame. These were my favorite. Particularly the chunky peanut butter, which have the worst smell and taste now.

These used to be my go-to protein bars. They taste great and keep me full. Recently, each new box I’ve gotten smell extremely like chemicals and make me concerned to put it in my body. I’m sadly going to have to find another protein bar if this doesn’t improve. I’m reviewing on this website with a hope that the company realizes what is causing the smell and adjusting accordingly!

This used to be my favorite flavor but now i noticed a weird chemical/artificial taste that I don’t remember the last time I bought these. I won’t be buying them again.

Like another reviewer on here, I have also experienced what I thought was a bad batch… (Note: I buy these individually) I pretty much have lived off these bars for the past 5 years, but recently they have been giving off a very bad plastic-like smell and taste. I can’t eat it.

What happened here?!? Lately these bars exude a horrible chemical smell upon opening and taste terrible! At first I thought I got a bad batch but every purchase ever since was the same. Yuk!!! Very disappointed that after a decade of enjoying these bars I vowed to never buy them again.

My go-to for protein when I need a quick pick-me-up. It is tasty & convenient.

I look forward to having this bar every morning with a cup of coffee. So tasty and satisfying. I have been eating them for several years now and the peanut butter crunch is my FAVORITE!
