Q: Can I connect two of the six panel sets for a 12 panel set?
A: We do not recommend using more than 8 panels at one time. Our plastic yards are certified by the JPMA only with the use of 8 panels or less. When more than 8 panels are used, the stability of the product will be compromised and it could collapse. Additionally, we only recommend using the 8-panel yard in the shape of an octagon (or the recently approved shape of a square). If you are using 6 panels, it is only recommended to be set up in the shape of a hexagon. When using as recommended, the angles located at each connection joint provides maximum stability.

Q: Can 2-4 year old toddlers play in it?
A: Thank you for your question. While the Gathered Home Gate is certified with the Juvenile Product Manufacturing Association (JPMA) and meets all ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials,) requirements for children's safety gates, it is intended to be used with children between the ages of 6-24 months, based on average development. It should not be used with children outside of the age recommendation or with children who have learned to climb, open, or move the enclosure.

Q: Can you join two to make it twice the size?
A: Thank you for your question. The maximum number of panels that should be used at once should not exceed 8. Using more than 8 panels will cause the play yard to be unstable. Two Superyards should not be connected together.

Q: How many panels have the "gray button" where the panels be separated? Can this be set up with fewer panels, say 5 or 6?
A: Thank you for your question. The panels that make up the 8-Panel Superyard are identical and are connected with one panel facing up, while the next faces down, then the next if facing up and so on. Because of this, each panel will contain the dark gray plunger that contains a spring. It is best to separate the panels when the spring loaded plunger is located near the ground. To do this, simply press down on the panel directly to the left of the dark gray circle that is located at the top of every other panel. This allows the ground to be used as leverage to compress the spring, allowing the top pin to easily slide out of the slot so that the panels disconnect. The Superyard will only connect when you are using an even number of panels such as 4, 6, or 8. It is not recommended to use more than 8 panels at once. It will not connect when using an odd number of panels so cannot be set up with 5 (or 7).

Q: If I have a 6 panel and wanted to purchase an 8 panel, same brand, would they be compatible? Thank you.
A: Thank you for your question. All of our plastic Superyards are compatible with each other. However, we recommend that the Superyard Colorplay be set up in a shape with eight panels or less. The strength and stability of the yard comes from its reinforced ribbed panels working in conjunction with one another. For the greatest safety and stability our largest size recommendation is an octagonal shape.

Q: Can this also be used for 8 small puppies and if so up to what age do you recommend up to in order to keep them secured?
A: Thank you for your question. Yes, this would work great with your puppies. We can't comment on the recommended puppy age since each grows so differently and are more determined than others to get into things.

Q: Our 8 mth old grandson is very big & strong for his age. He is pulling up on everything to stand up. Will this unit be strong enough to sustain his weight, which is off the chart. He is already wearing 18 month old clothes. Thank you for your help.
A: Thank you for your question. We recommend using the Superyard Colorplay with children ages 6 to 24 months. Each child grows and develops differently so we cannot guarantee that your infant would not be able to pull himself up using the Superyard.

Q: If I take it in a straight line to split off two rooms, how long would the gate be ?
A: Thank you for your question. Each panel of the Superyard Colorplay is 32 inches wide so spread in a straight line the yard would be about 256 inches wide.
