Our old Hamilton Beach microwave had some door sensor issues. I believe I bought that one around three years ago. It was also getting rusty inside and the paint inside was flaking off. I searched diligently online and found this Toshiba microwave. I liked the looks of it. It also seemed like a dependable product. I think Toshiba stands for quality, so I bought it. I was impressed with how quiet the microwave is. It’s much quieter than our old one. It’s slightly smaller but it offers 1200 watts of power. It’s still large enough to handle all our needs. This microwave heats very well in a short amount of time. It’s powerful thanks to inverter technology. As far as drawbacks go, I noticed that the brown plastic ring that the glass plate sits on isn’t exactly centered so it doesn’t rotate smoothly. I’ll mess with it to see if I can improve it by shifting its placement a bit. Aside from that my only issue with this microwave is that I cannot use the timer function while also heating something up. I’ve tried and the buttons don’t work at all while it’s serving as a giant timer. That’s honestly the one thing out Hamilton Beach had that was better. Overall, I would recommend this product. It’s a little more expensive than some but I think it’s worth it.
