TP-Link TL-SG608 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch

My family and I just recently moved and were in need of an ethernet switch at the new house. My previous one was very dated and only had 4 ports, which was no longer sufficient for the number of devices that we plan to use in the near future. This TP-link 8 port gigabit desktop switch allows us plenty of room to expand and improve our setup. It has been a very welcome addition to our new home!

I ran into a situation with my ISP-provided router in that it only has 2 Ethernet ports and they are already being utilized. This switch has been a life saver! It was very easy to set up and I have had no issues at all over the last few weeks of using it! One small gripe I have is that the rubber feet were not installed by default. I guess this is likely in case you want to use the mounting holes. It wasn’t too difficult to install them myself though.

This TP-Link 8-port Desktop Gigabit Switch is the perfect addition to expand capacity for my network rack. It is small and compact and was just the right size to fit my space. Its plug and play design required no configuration. Highly recommend!

I am very satisfied with this product. I have had it for about a month now and I have not had any issues. I did the installation myself. I am not that technically savvy so this switch was perfect for me. I did not have to download any software. My husband said the download speeds on the XBox seem to be a lot faster. He also notices no lags when viewing movies on Netflix and other TV Providers.

The Netgear TL-SG608 8-port Gogabit switch is a great addition to any home network setup. It allows to expand an existing network without compromising speed and efficiency. This is a reliable and practical device. It is fully plug and play, no additional setup needed. The device is also wall mountable to clear out desktop space if needed. Durable and performs on point.

My husband says this port is exactly what he needed in his home office. He’s the computer guy in our family so I trust his opinion! He has so many things plugged in at his desk, and this had enough ports to plug in everything he needs.

Easy to setup and a good functionality. Moved Ethernet cables to this one easily, plugged in power adapters. It's pretty basic and the power adapter is the switching type. Anti skid feet are a nice touch as well

Switch works fine but it only came with a power cord, no LAN cables which was annoying because I had to go buy some. It has a lot of ports (8) which could be helpful if you need more than what your router already has. When moving a PC from wireless to wires with this switch the internet speed went from 96 mbps to 590 mbps, so it definitely helps.

This router is sleek and fits in smallest areas. Has many outlets and ports and provides high speed with no dropping of signal. Very nice product. Would make a great gift for any electronics fan especially with the holidays approaching!

My husband loved this one. He hooks up his PlayStation directly to the internet using an Ethernet cable because it runs smoother. Now we can have multiple devices running on Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi! Now, everything in our living room runs smoother.

This desk-top port is a handsome way to keep all of my cords, organized! It's in a metal box, so it is durable. The size is as long as a dollar bill. It is easy to use, just plug into your router or computer. Green technology is used, so it is energy sparing, and it's quiet!!

Love this! It works for all my devises, it is a very fast speed, super easy to use and connect everything - plug and play. It was also a great price point You can't go wrong here! definitely recommended.

This 8-port switch works exactly as advertised. Being un-managed just plug it in and go. The metal enclosure is sturdy and side vents should provide adequate air flow. There are both mounting cutouts as well as included rubber bumpers. But there are a few things to note which is why IMO it it is not 5 stars. 1) Ports & power orientation. With the power port being on one side and RJ45 ports on opposite this switch is intended for specific mounting/placement. Basically works best if situated at front of shelf with cables intending to be plugged in directly at front. In my particular placement at the back of a shelf it creates an awkward loop back of the power cable. 2) Port lights - there is only a single light for each of the 8 ports and and while it is bright it is also quite small. There is no indication of port speed as green means connected and blinking means activity. 3) Power plug brick in oriented sideways. This means it needs to be placed at end of a power strip otherwise it will overlap other plugs.

It’s a great product it’s so cool and useful and fast. It’s a durable product I can stand by it for sure. No worried or problems it’s exiting and fun to have and convenient at best. It just doesn’t stop working
