Q: Is this truly made in Brazil and assembled in the US? I recently purchased this saucepan from another vendor and it claimed to be made in Brazil and assembled in th US. I wasn’t. it was made in China.

A: Yes. This Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad 1.5 Qt Sauce Pan #80116/021DS, sold by Target (an authorized seller of Tramontina products) is made in Brazil and assembled in the USA. Tramontina manufactures different Tri-Ply Clad lines, where some are made in Brazil, and some are made in China. With increased access to the internet, products are susceptible to being sold by random vendors who may or may not be aware of the difference. We highly recommend purchasing your products from authorized Tramontina Retailers to make sure that the product purchased is what is advertised. This is a great pot except for two things: the handle and the straight sides. I haven’t yet figured out how to pour from the pot without making a mess (even when using a rod like the internets recommends), and the handle *looks ergonomic, but is a little too thin and square to hold comfortably and/or pour with, especially with the weight of the pot and the contents inside. The pot itself is heavy, very well-made, heats quickly, cleans up nicely with baking soda and a citrus-based cleaner or Barkeeper’s Friend, and the lid fits tightly. The overall quality is outstanding for the price. But I’m thinking about giving mine away after a year of trying to make it work.

I bought this pot to replace a Made In pot that was completely ruined by something overcooking. Okay I burned the beans. But I have NEVER had to toss a pot or pan because of that. I could not get it clean after MONTHS of trying. I have only used my new sauce pan a few times as it is small, but so far I absolutely love it. It heats evenly, cleans easily and looks beautiful. So very pleased that I will plan on buying more at some point.

This 1.5 Qt pot has a comfortable handle and a well-fitting lid. It heats well on my induction range, and is easy to clean. The mirror finish is a handsome addition to the kitchen.
